Runs Very Small
I order a lot of clothing from Landsend, and after losing weight over the past year, my size in skirts and jeans is a 12, which fit perfectly. Knowing suits sometimes tend to be snug, I ordered this mini in both a 14 and 16 to compare fit. Both were terribly small. The suit bottom under the skirt cut into my thighs, even in the 16. This skirt was not flattering at all. I will say that the overall material was of good quality, but I wouldn't recommend this bottom.

Doesn't hide the Fat
Compared to the other 4 swim mini's I purchased from Landsend, this one was snugger around the abdomen. Since I have a roll of fat on mine (size 22), it showed from the side view. That was not the case with the other swim mini's. I also did not care the seam of the band that went around the waist to fall right on the widest part of my hips.

Very low rise. Why bother with a skirt if you are showing this much flesh.
Unhappy that there wasn't a better option than this very short and very low rise. Might just as well put a ruffle on a bikini bottom.

Flattering style
I tried a couple different sizes in this. I am 5'2" and the petite was the best fit. Very well made and helps to hide a few flaws without looking old ladyish. This is my first suit with a skirt like this. Love it!

Love this bottom.
This swim skirt fits true to size and looks great with all of my Lands End tankini tops. I wear bathing suits almost everyday at the beach and Lands End suits are all I have.

Best swim bottoms
I love the mini swim mini! The wide waistband holds it all in. The short skirt is a great length, it covers up my flaws but does not look matronly. I have one mini swim mini that has lasted through 3 summers. The quality is great!

Great mini skirt
Just the right amount of coverage. Not too long and frumpy. Very sporty.

had to order up a size from measurements
I followed the swimsuit measurement chart and warily ordered a size 6, but the elastic leg bands are too tight around my thighs and give me a panty line under the skirt. Admittedly, my thighs are not the slimmest part of my body, but the waist band fit great and I've had 4 kids, so I think Lands End could go a little easier on that leg band elastic! (My hips measured 36.5 inches, the fit chart says size 6 is for 39 inch hips). Overall, though, this is a great swim bottom - the length is perfect, just long enough to cover those problem spots, but not so long it feels matronly.

Another GREAT LE Purchase!
My first swim skirt is from LE. Although much happier with this than other suits I've had, it's always been a big "off" for me. I am 5'3", and decided to give a mini swimmini a try. Problem solved. I just needed something a bit shorter, and this is perfect. Great coverage but it slims my legs because it doesn't hit them in a bad spot. Love it in the marazine blue to match the top I purchased. Will be confident and comfortable by the water this year.

coordinates really well with non-Lands End swimwear, too!
After looking at swim skirts in a lot of other stores and finding they were all either: a) cheaply made, or b) much, much too skimpy to even be called a skirt, I came back to Lands End and I ordered 4 different styles and colors because I was trying to coordinate a top from another store (navy and coral). I ended up keeping the basic mini swim mini because the coral color was as close to perfect as you could get and I loved the fit. The size 6 (my normal LE size) fit very well, slim around the hips but not so tight that it was riding up and it was long enough to cover whole bottom yet not have too much fabric (and getting in the way). I LOVE the waistband because it's wide and very comfortable -- not tight or cutting into your waist. In the water the skirt fabric does float up a little, but I think the bottoms underneath the skirt are really nice. They stay in place and have comfortable leg openings.
