Women's 3/4-sleeve Starfish Boatneck Tunic
I love this top almost enough to marry it.
Yes! A tunic that is sized perfectly - and without pockets to add bulk at the hips! The boatneck is graceful, but not so wide that bra straps show (at least on me). There's adequate room in the hips so that the top doesn't pull. And it's long enough that I feel okay wearing leggings - which is a bonus.
(You know how they say that if you wore something the first time it was popular, you're too old for it now? Well, that "something" would be leggings, in my case. But this top is long enough to render them semi-age-appropriate.)
I'm back for a second one. Sadly, the color I wanted to buy next is sold out in my size. I will make due with my third choice, though - this top is that good!

I bought this tunic in Persian Rose, size 1X. I'm 5'7" and weigh approx. 260 lbs., normally a size 20 on bottom and a 16/18 on top (for reference). I have broad shoulders, a smallish top, and carry most of my weight from my belly button to my knees. This shirt is one of the few tunics that is actually long enough to really be considered a tunic. The material inside the shirt is a little different, but it is very comfortable. I wore it to work with leggings and boots with no issues. The A-line shape is very flattering on my body type, and hides the excess in my tummy area. Would definitely recommend!

Nice tunic--bad material!
The tailoring and fit on this is nice (thanks to all past reviewers who had good tips on ordering to fit!) But the material is a big disappointment! Cheesy and cheap-feeling, and after three gentle washes, already starting to pill a little. I bought this on sale--and it's hard to find nice-looking tunics--but if I'd paid full price, it would have gone back.

So happy to find a tunic-length top that is actually tunic-length
I LOVE this top. I bought the dark blue, which is my favorite color! Because I have broad shoulders and carry my weight around my middle, I usually wear an extra large in tops, but I tried on the large and the fit was just right. It still looks great after being washed (I hung it to dry). The thing that would make it perfect in my book would be long sleeves. In the winter three-quarter length sleeves aren't quite enough (but I'll tough it out).

works for me
I am 5-8 and weight 150# and ordered a M. This is light weight and I wear a long sleeve t shirt with it. Perfect around the house and chilly mornings. I plan to order a second. Have washed and came out fine.

Tried on in store...EXCELLENT
The neckline was what initially caught my eye on this top, but after reading reviews on the sizing, I was too nervous to just order one size smaller, as many other reviewers mentioned is necessary. Instead, I went to the store and tried on both one size smaller and two sizes smaller than what I normally wear. I am 5'8, 135 lbs. and an hourglass shape. I typically wear a size M and a size 8 pant, just to give a basic idea. I ended up buying the XS, which I never would have ordered online. This size fits beautifully! It drapes exactly how it does in the picture and is the perfect length. Who would have thought!? I don't own anything in XS...I would strongly recommend trying on in-store if you CAN, but if not, I suggest two sizes smaller. LOVE this new staple in my closet!

I get compliments
This is the first top in many years that I have worn and been told that I am beautiful by people around town- multiple times. I am 5 ft 9, overweight, and wear my excess weight in my tummy. The 3 X top hangs long enough and loose enough so that none of my bulges are seen, yet the drape is stylish. The color of the shirt and my face are the center pieces. I wear a long beautiful scarf with it or a long necklace, earrings and fun bracelets with Lands End black elastic waist pants. This top can be dressed up or down. I have the light turqoise blue and darker blue. Lots of compliments for very simple outfits. I have a similar top with the faux turtle neck white with navy stripes that is really cute too.

swimming in the tunic
While the size I usually order works well with other tops, I found myself swimming in this tunic. The fabric was different as well and not something I felt I would be comfortable wearing all day long. Too bad, as I really need tunic length shirts.

It is probably my body, but this top did not look acceptable on me. It is long (a tunic) and flares out at the bottom. On me, it looked like a sack. I could have shortened it and reduced the side seams, but I chose not to remodel the garment. Most of Lands End tops fit much better.

I wore this tunic with a pair of Starfish slim leg pants and it was a a perfect match! Very comfortable, quality that you would expect from a Lands End product. The fit was perfect, not too big or snug.
