Women's 3/4-sleeve Sport Knit Dress
Good Basic Dress
I tried 2 sizes of this dress. My usual size fit a bit too tight for my comfort level-but when I sized up; the body was perfect, but the neckline was too wide and showed off my underwear. Darn!

This dress is awesome. I'm 5'8", 150lbs, with wide hips and this dress sits so well. The weight of the fabric smooths and the fabric bow trims the waist. Its long enough to be modest for work, but stylish enough to wear after as well.

The pink is gorgeous
I ordered this dress in a tall and took a risk on the Cactus Flower color. A vivid shade like that can potentially look cheesy and garish, but this pink is glorious. I wear it with silver and grey accessories to tone it down some so that it's appropriate for work. Every time I wear it I get compliments, usually with specific mention of the color.
Some observations about the style: I especially appreciate the length of the skirt. I'm a college professor, and it's nice to wear skirts that I can sit down in with my knees fully draped. I also personally like the boatneck style with three-quarter sleeves. It's a style I wear a lot, and I'm seriously tempted to buy this dress in the other colors.
My other observations would echo what other reviewers here have had to say. The waist is a bit too high, which I have remedied by wearing a very wide scarf instead of the belt. And the fabric -- while substantial, soft and of very high quality -- does show the lines of your undergarments. Add a half-slip underneath. Problem solved.

A very versatile dress
I recently purchased this dress because it was on sale and looked practical. I also often wear the sports knit pants, skirts and capris. I was afraid it would look too matronly because of the length. However it was perfect. I ordered the black in med. I am 5'6" and 165 lbs. I have a small chest and waist and larger thighs. I added a colorful scarf and tights and wore it with boots. I received numerous compliments. This is a very versatile dress; next time I will wear a print belt and matching flats. As mentioned by another review, it is fantastic for hiding some not so nice veins.

I love this dress. I purchased this in XL, eggplant color - gorgeous color and fits great. I want this in pink as well. I will definitely add this second dress to my wish list. A must have for fancy comfort!

Great, all-purpose dress!
I just got this dress, and I love it. Like others have said, the waist does come up a bit high, but since I like empire waisted dresses (this isn't empire; just a bit high waisted), I'm not bothered by that. In fact, I find the cut totally flattering, especially the length, which will nicely hide my varicose veins! After I tried on the black one I ordered, I came back to order the eggplant. Perfect for summer, fall, and spring!

I would like this dress better with a couple of changes.
The dress is true to size, but it is short-waisted, or I am long-waisted. The waistline seam is not at my waistline, so it is difficult to wear any belt. It would be more comfortable if the neckline were less wide. I do have wide shoulders, but the neckline is still too wide. Believe it or not, I do like the dress. I have worn it a couple of times and have received compliments each time. I got the dress in black, so it is very versatile.

recommend, with caveats
this item fit and looked great directly out of the box. that raises concerns for me that the cotton will shrink with washing. the cotton is great now, but I would imagine that unless you wash this delicate/cold and hang dry, the cotton will start to look like an old t-shirt if you treat it in the same way. the drape of this dress is excellent, the cut and the length are also very good and I hope they keep this cut around and bring it back in more colors over the years because it makes a great wardrobe "standard", especially for those of us who are hippy, or no longer young and in the best shape. the neckline does flop out, but unless it fits oddly and gapes on top, that should stay put with gravity. I tried it on when I first got it and it did look good on, but a warning: with regular underwear, your pantylines will likely show so wear one of those bodyskimming slips they sell now to smooth out your figure. not because you need it, but because in a dress like this and in the kinds of places it would be suitable to wear, you don't want everyone in the place to know what kind of cut in undergarments you favor!
