Women's 3/4-sleeve Boatneck Sailor Tee
Fabric and fit not great.
Love boat neck, 3/4 sleeve knit tops. Too bad the fabric on this particular top was too stiff and scratchy. The boat neck also didn't lay flat because of the stiff fabric and rolled after one washing. Returned the two I had bought.

Nice stye and fit--unpleasant fabric
I ordered this shirt in a medium petite and the fit is perfect. I wear a size 10, am 5'4" and prefer tops to reach half-way between my waist and hips as per the photo. The shirt looks nice on me but the material is VERY heavy and rough to the touch. I doubt it will "breathe" so am returning it.

Not at all what I expected
I was really disappointed in this shirt in so any ways--mainly the scratchy poor quality fabric. It's like sand paper, so it's going back. Not worth what they are charging.

Exactly what I wanted
The perfect fall/winter top for cold climates. I'm tired of layering flimsy tees to try to stay warm in the winter. This is a nice heavy weight top and the style is soooo cute! Love the longer length also. Wish it came in more colors. I would buy more.

This shirt was disappointing.
Material was not soft. A little cardboard feeling like. The neck line was not comfortable because it was cut too high. Item was returned.

Love the look of this shirt
The fit is a bit too tight for me. I prefer a more relaxed fit. I ordered my usual size but the cut is not a "relaxed" fit. That said I love the look of the shirt and will be keeping it. I wish it was a curved hem though and I will be modifying it to be one. I'll also cut the sides open and add a navy blue panel on each side to give it a more relaxed fit.

Too boxy + heavy wt. for me, but a good substitute is the '3/4 Snap Boatneck top'
I compared the Snap Boatneck to the classic striped mariner LE Sailor Tee, & the Snap Boatneck won because it fit better, didn't show my bra straps, & is a nice lighter weight that I can wear more often than the Sailor Tee, which is heavier but fine quality, substantial terry knit. The Snap Boatneck fit me better because of the teeny ribbing that makes the fabric slightly cling to any curves you have - you can't see it on the model online/catalog - which is more flattering on me than the boxier, almost tunic-like Sailor Tee. The snaps are cute too on the Snap Boatneck. The Sailor Tee wasn't as forgiving as the Snap Boatneck. I tried on a Regular Women's XL & a Women's Plus 0X in both styles. The Snap Boatneck fit in Regular XL & Plus 0X, while I would have had to go up to Women's 1X or 2X in the Sailor's Tee because the upper arms were tight & it was tight across my bust, making it sit strangely on my neckline. I liked the lighter weight of the Snap Boatneck over the heavier Sailor Tee. I live in the SW where there are brutal long hot summers & fairly mild winters. So, the lighter weight of the Snap Boatneck makes it wearable in Spring/layered in Winter/Fall, where the Sailor Tee was almost too heavy, & I'd only be able to wear it in the Winter & Fall. Plus, my bra straps didn't show on Snap Boatneck, but showed on the Sailor Tee. Who wants to bother with that? I'd love LE to make this Snap Boatneck with the more classic Sailor Tee stripes. I'd buy it in more colors. I came back to buy another Snap Boatneck & was sad to see only a few colors online & mostly sold out :(

I own 4 of these already, and will purchase more to stash away to always have in my closet. These are THAT good, that it's the start of a hoard. Love them with with jeans and ballet flats or Sperry's but also with chinos or dressier trousers, jacket and heels. So chic and mixable with your wardrobe.
The fabric's heavier weight is what I adore about this tee - the authenticity of a sailor tee that I hadn't owned since my teens. In the 80's in Baltimore's Inner Harbor, my parents bought me a Kelly Green & Navy striped sailor tee which had the same heavier weight material.
LE-- please continue to keep in your inventory!

I bought this shirt years ago when it was still on the Canvas line. Since then, it has become a wardrobe staple every fall. Goes well with any outfit, can be dressed up or down, and I have received so many compliments on it. The material is thicker than you would imagine, making it not suitable as a summer breton shirt. It's the perfect weight for a crisp night or early fall wear. It does have a slightly more boxy cut. I'm 120lb, 5'4'' and I wore the XS. It's roomy for me to be active in it without giving me a bulging look. The collar does roll a little, but it's hardly noticeable. A little ironing will do the trick. I'm so happy with this shirt that I'm going to order the other color now. Highly recommend.
