Rated 4 out of 5 by Clarkes Great product for the price
This is a really nice water bottle, we bought it to match my son's book bag so he can have water at school. It's as expected, a small water bottle, fun for him, easy to use, wash, and comes with an extra straw. It is an inexpensive water bottle, so don't expect it to keep things cold/hot as it isn't insulated. It does just as advertised and my son loves it, that's what matters.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Emilyelizabethtaylor Great product!
I was nervous to buy this water bottle, due to some of the negative reviews speaking specifically of how it cracks when dropped. I have twin eight year old boys who are hard on stuff, especially my autistic son. I relented as they both wanted the matching water bottle to their new backpack. I figured, why not ... especially with the sale price. After a week and a half of school and my son dropping the water bottle on hard tile, concrete, and carpet it is still holding up well. Sure, it was scratched a bit, but no cracks or even dents. They really like the size of the water bottles as they fit well in the side pocket of their backpack or they can loop their backpack front strap through the top and secure it to their bag that way. Love this product. Will probably order a couple more, just to have a couple extras since I know their backpacks will last for quite a few years.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Shaymus3 So cute...but straw easily cracked
My daughter loved the polka dots but within 2 weeks, straw cracked then broke. Love Landsend quality, so was surprised. Returned with no problems.

Rated 2 out of 5 by ABK27 Breaks easily
Bought one, my daughter dropped it once on the playground and the metal split (where the canister meets the bottom) causing it to leak and had to be thrown away. She had it for less than a week. Two years later, tried them again (one for each child). One dropped hers on the sidewalk the day we got them, the metal split (in the same location as the previous one) causing it to leak and had to be thrown away. The other, much to my surprise, made it though the school year. Because I am only 1 for 3 and the cost of this water bottle is high, I would not recommend this product. I tried to have mine replaced, but they became unavailable too quickly so that was not an option for us.

Love the design. Second grade is about matching for my daughter. The metal is tough, it's already rolled down stairs. The flip up spout is easy enough for kids hands to use. Just would have been nice to keep it colder than the ice pack in her lunch bag kept it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by MEM5 Only lasted a little while
After only half of the school year, the color has chipped off the bottom of the bottle and it has multiple dings and scraps. Additionally the sharp stainless edge is wearing a hole in my son's backpack pocket, which is designed to hold a water bottle. I am looking for a replacement bottle.

Well, this was nice while it lasted but unfortunately that was only for 3 months. The plastic thumb tab that allows the straw to raise up snapped off and now there is no way for my son to drink from this water bottle! What a horrible design flaw! The water bottle was a good size for a second grader and he loved that it matched his orange camp backpack. That said, I could never recommend this item to anyone and it was expensive to break after only a couple of months. This design needs to be completely reworked. Go back to the drawing board LE.

Rated 3 out of 5 by SESinNC seals well, good size, BUT doesn't keep cold
This is a nice little water bottle for lunch boxes, but it does not keep beverages cold. I put ice water in a camelback thermos, and this LE thermos, put them both outside on a hot day, and in 3 hours, the camelback still had ice cubes, while the water in the LE was warm. We will use this in the cooler months, but will stick with the well insulating bottles (Camelback and Contigo) for when we want cold beverages. As for the whistling sound that one reviewer mentioned, that seems to happen only when the straw is not attached.
