Rated 5 out of 5 by ResQMee Warmth without weight!
I bought 2 of these for twin beds in the guest room. The medium blue is great and the blanket itself is light, so soft, and just right for SoCal's 3 chilly seasons. Great price and quality, nicely hemmed. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DebinMI Am surprised how comfortably warm it is . . .
I just started using this blanket now that it is cold and snowing in Michigan. I am surprised at how comfortably warm it is . . . it is lightweight, yet warm. We keep our house around 60 degrees at night in the winter - I've been comfortable with this blanket and flannel sheets with a matelasse coverlet. I use vinegar in the wash as a softener and had no problems with static either.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LReview Love it but wish it came in dark wine/plum.
I love this blanket. It's light enough to use in the summer and when I use two they are plenty warm enough for winter without adding extra weight to my bedding. Please keep it as it is using the brushed fleece. I've tried blankets that are more plush but they seem suffocating. I use king size on my queen bed to have more overhang. My only wish is that it come in dark wine/plum.

Rated 1 out of 5 by AnnaElle The worst blanket I've ever bought
I've washed this blanket at least a dozen times, and every time I take it out of the dryer, I still collect a handful of dryer fluff from the lint trap, the walls of the dryer, and from the blanket itself. Each time I wash it, little clumps of blanket fuzz get all over the carpet in front of my dryer. Seriously, this is not the quality I expect from Lands End.
I've purchased their fleece throw blankets twice before, a few years ago, and I still love those. This year, however, I'm sending the item back. Don't bother ordering it. It's horrible.

Rated 2 out of 5 by JeffClark Tried very hard to like this blanket. Didn't.
- First-rate construction. Nicely finished edges, uniformly smooth with no bald spots, etc.
- Generously sized. I ordered the King, and had coverage to spare.
- Anti-shock and anti-cling work very well. None of that snap-crackle-pop that sometimes accompanies moving under fleece.
- I've washed it numerous times and, following the expected first wash shedding, it hasn't pilled.
- Launders well. Dries quickly and comes out fresh-smelling and soft.
- Doesn't drape very well. When laying in bed, I found the light weight made it lay too close to my body so that every time I moved, it yanked or twisted as a result. Combined with the tension between the blanket and the edges/corners of the bed, it had me rolling my shoulders and kicking my legs to create slack and be comfortable. Seems trivial, but it became frustrating.
- Lacks the heft and nap commonly found in other fleece blankets.
- Too light weight. Sleeping under this lacked that comforting sensation of being swathed in a blanket. I felt like I was sleeping without one, and had to resort to adding a top sheet which, to me, defeats the purpose of having soft, fuzzy fleece.
In cold weather, I use a comforter/duvet/topsheet combo. In hot weather, I have Lands' End oxford cloth sheets and use just the top sheet. Both of these work very well for me. I was looking for something to fill the niche between seasons, and have used fleece in the past successfully for this. To be fair, the product description is wholly accurate, and I think my expectation was inaccurate. Despite being lightweight, I expected it to be thicker and have a similar nap and drape to competing products. I was fortunate to have purchased it on sale at substantial savings, because at regular price I don't think it's a good value. (I've seen similar, competing products at less than half the price.)
It's now a king-sized couch blanket and works well in that capacity. I'll never use it as bedding again. It's just too thin and light. I prefer a blanket that's heavier than a sheet.
Overall, my experience with this product in no way diminishes my opinion of Lands' End. I just think this one was a "swing and a miss."

Rated 1 out of 5 by LEmeow hole in blanket after one wash
I am returning this blanket. I so wanted to like it. It is warm and fuzzy (too fuzzy as it pills all over). Also, I got ready to put in on my bed for the first time this fall and found a whole in it! I only washed it once and set it aside for fall. I am taking this back to Sears.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Sharibaby Need a lighter version
I have bought three (3) of these blankets - I love them - in the late fall, winter and early spring. When the weather warms up however they are just a little too warm for use in the south. I am 65 and keep my home at about 76-78 degrees in the summer because I tend to be cool unless I am cleaning the house. I would love it if you would offer this blanket in a slightly lighter version. I compare this blanket to the old Thermacheck 200 and am looking for a '100' version. This blanket washes beautifully.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ottawaperson apartment blanket in winter
This is a lightweight but very warm blanket. I live in an apartment and most comforters are way too hot except when it is extremely cold outside. I use this by itself or with a cotton quilt and it is very comfortable in an apartment (heat rises, and comes via neighbouring units plus building has baseline heat when heat is on). I don't put my own unit's heat on since it is too warm; the unit is about 68 degrees without my own unit's heat being on in the winter. Good choice for middle aged women and a great mother's day gift (hint, hint, sons, daughters and husbands). For a middle aged couple that has different heat needs this could be purchased in a twin for mom/wife. A husband could have his own twin comforter if he needed extra warmth. Marital bliss and no fights. I got the capuccino which is true to the shade on the web. I can see this being a great blanket for camping, the cottage, college students, etc. It may also be useful for the home theatre while watching movies, going to sporting games, for the car, etc.

Rated 5 out of 5 by notafan22 Lightweight and perfectly warm!!
Just received the ThermaCheck blanket and am extremely happy with this purchase. The fleece is very lightweight, but it keeps me as warm as a heavy comforter during the cold New England winter. Big plus: it washes and dries beautifully (no lint, no fuzz) unlike some of the other velour / velvet blankets out there.
