I have been using this blanket for a while now on my bed..It is the perfect weight under my chenille bedspread..When the blanket arrived I washed it and dried in the dryer..I removed the lint several times during the drying cycle..This blanket kept its shape and has not shed lint after washing it. I love the diagonal style of the blanket that can be used to replace a bedspread if desired..Well worth the purchase price....

I've been purchasing Lands End products for over 20 years. I started buying kids stuff when my now adult children were younger. Then I morphed into the home goods area. I've had this blanket for about 6 years now and it only gets better. It still is my favorite blanket with the chevron knit and subtle sheen of the pima cotton. The quality of their sheets and towels, etc. is top notch and I love the way they stand behind their products! You really can't go wrong with Lands End.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AY166 Fantastic blanket for tall people!
I bought this blanket in cream and am about to place an order for another one because my husband is obsessed with it and, for some reason, started to read the reviews. I couldn't believe what bad experiences people had! I had to double check my order history to make sure that they were talking about the same blanket that we love!
I ordered the blanket this spring because I wanted something that wasn't too bulky for the warmer weather but that is heavy because I like to have some weight to my bedding and this was perfect. It is nice and dense and very soft. I did find that it shed a lot in the dryer, but it didn't shed in my room as some others experienced.
I ordered a king sized blanket and it is a little "generous" as one reviewer mentioned - but we love that. My husband is 6'7" and his feet don't poke out of the bottom, which is a rare luxury for him. And try as I might, I can't seem to hog all the covers.
I have been purchasing only Lands End bedding for the past several years and I have been so happy with the quality.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Beansie A dreadful, no-star buy
I received this queen-size, white blanket in early autumn for use this spring and summer. It struck me as extraordinarily heavy then, when I took it out of the box and stored it away in its original wrapping and ribbon in the linen chest, Handsome looking blanket, but weighty. Today, an 80-degree day, I took it out and wondered if I could handle it ,actually get it on the bed. A shoulder problem makes handling difficult. Too heavy -- way too heavy! But then finally it was on the bed. And it turned out this bright white, new cotton blanket is discolored -- yellow -- all the way down the middle. Since it had spent the winter in its original wrappings and stored in a linen chest with a clean duvet, it had clearly been sent with the stain.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Mandarin5678 A very generous king size
I have been buying from Lands' End for many, many years and the poor quality of this product was a surprise. I was extremely disappointed especially as it was not cheap; I bought a king size blanket. The lint which came off was astounding. After the first wash, the lint filled a huge carrier bag. It took 2 weeks to remove the lint from my hair and it was also very difficult to remove it from my hair brush.

Feels wonderful, very nice mid weight blanket. I got a pink color that was available in the spring. If the spring colors come back, I'll buy another. My only criticism is that it pulls readily. Keep zippers and things away. No issues with lint with the pink one.

Rated 1 out of 5 by CC01 Beautiful but truly awful blanket
I bought the navy blanket for my son to take to college because the nice length is good for dorm beds. I read about the lint the blanket creates and so I washed and dried it 6 times as soon as I received it. I took enough lint out of the drier lint trap to make a small throw blanket. My son just finished his first semester, took home the blanket and begged me to buy him a new one because it made is dorm room so dirty and linty that he had to wipe the blue dust off his dishes before he used them. If I can find my packing slip I am going to return this beautiful, soft, AWFUL blanket.

Rated 1 out of 5 by jellybn This blanket is the worst blanket I have ever purchased.
I definitely agree with the review given by Truffle of Southern California. My husband ordered this blanket and it is the worst blanket we have ever owned. We bought the navy blue one and I have had lint and dark blue dust over my floors ever since we put it on the bed. I use a Swiffer several times a week on the hardwood floors and the lint that comes up is absolutely disgusting. It has been washed and put in the dryer on numerous occasions. My husband is an avid fan of Land's End Clothing, but this blanket should be pulled off the market if you want to keep your good reputation for quality products. It was not worth the money we paid for it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Truffle I hate this blanket
I've had a lot of nice cotton bed blankets and this is nothing like my previous ones. The lint and dust coming off this thing just doesn't quit. I have washed it according to label directions several times and I still can't sleep without my nose getting itchy from the lint. It leaves white dust all over my bedroom furniture! In addition, it is very heavy feeling, it pills easily, it stretches too much, and the diagonal pattern looks ridiculous if you want it to be the top layer on your bed. I've had it a few months and I can't take it anymore - it's going back. Not worth the price at all! Can't believe it has such positive reviews.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ERD The perfect extra blanket
I now own two of these. My son took one to college and swears it's the best thing ever! I just got another one for the house. It's the perfect blanket on warm summer days, and also as an extra layer in the winter. One thing I recommend is that you wash it before using it. There is quite a bit of lint that comes from the blanket when it's new. After a few washings, the lint will be gone completely. It will feel like butter next to your skin and the blanket will be well worn from then on.
