Solid Oxford Bedding
Thick Oxford goodness.
My preference in sheets has never been for silky-smooth fabrics with preposterously high thread counts. I've never liked sateen. As someone who sleeps pretty hot, I used to prefer linen in the summer and percale for the rest of the year. I was so excited to discover that these exist. While I'm keeping the linen for the summer, Lands' End Oxford cloth sheets will be replacing the percale from now on. They have that same comforting weight and breathability of an Oxford shirt. They hold the right amount of heat for me in cooler weather (without being oppressively hot like flannel), and they just feel so much more substantial and durable than typical thin percale sheets.
They can feel coarse or scratchy at first, but just like with a good Oxford shirt this will subside after a few washes, and they'll only get better over time. Fabric softener can help you get through the scratchy phase if it bothers you, but I rather like it.
Only downside? I desperately wish I could get a duvet cover to match.

I love these sheets!
These sheets are all I thought they would be! They are soft, have great weight and are so comfortable! Fit my queen size bed perfectly. Thank you Land's End for another quality product.

We have had these sheets for a year and I love them more each time I wash them. They are so soft, yet sturdy. I was tired of spending a fortune on soft sheets just to have them wear out. These are soft but should last a long time. Will be buying a set for my son soon.

I have two sets of these sheets and just love them! I recently gave a set to my Mother who was very skeptical that any sheet would fit her deep 16+ inch mattress and stay put--in 100% cotton, no less. She loves them too! and is very impressed. These sheets do get softer and comfier as you use them. I have found the buttons on the pillowcases very tasteful, but they do tend to pop off and I never get around to sewing them back on. That would be the only 'con' I have found with these sheets. So smooth and cool to slip into bed, but nice and toasty with a down comforter. Five sailboats for sure! P.S. My daughter is still using a set of these sheets in the blue stripe we bought in the late 90's Yes, they are that well made.

Signature sheets at Blanket and Spoon
I am delighted to report that we haven't had a guest yet that hasn't loved our sheets. Many of the guests have asked where I got them and I gladly share Landsend with them. We have two sets for each bed; but still the sheets get quite the work out. They continue to wash up beautifully and are comfortable in warm and cold weather. My ONLY wish is that the ends didn't wrinkle like they do..but, hey, they are pure cotton and I wouldn't give that up for a few wrinkles. The tiny buttons on the pillow cases never go unnoticed and add a touch of class to the sheet set. The real testament to the fine quality of these sheets is this...we use them on our bed too! :)

We have a 12" mattress and these sheets are a very good fit. The top sheet goes to the floor at the foot of the bed. The top sheet could be a tad bit wider but it is okay. We love the feel of these sheets. Not too hot or too cool. A bit scratchie & wrinkled to start but each washing makes them softer & less wrinkled. They are a nice weight not flimsy. They don't stretch out as you use them. I'm buying more.

Lovely and soft, but not crisp
These are fantastic, quality sheets. They are very soft and get softer with washing, but (to me) they are not crisp. In my opinion they fall somewhere between a percale sheet and flannel. They are fairly substantial weight-wise and we love to use them in the fall and spring as transitional sheets. When I think of a crisp sheet, I expect it to feel crisp and cool to the touch. These are not that, but just soft and inviting. They do wrinkle a lot, so expect to live with that or iron the pillowcases and top hem of the flat sheet. Love them anyway!

These sheets are indeed well made , and they will last for many years . The fabric does become softer and softer as it gets washed , though it's not as soft as an oxford cloth shirt . They are generously sized , the stitching is solid , the fabric is thick and durable . Washing in hot water didn't affect the sizing like it can with other brands .
This isn't the first set of sheets I have purchased from LE . I also have the 5oz flannel in two colors , and before that I had a set of the black and white toile print sheets . (no longer available) All of the sheets I have purchased through them have been above average in quality.
Unfortunately I had an unfavorable skin reaction to either the fabric content or the fabric texture . I gave them a good because they are an excellent product , jut not for me .

The BEST sheets I've ever had
I love these sheets! I received them as a gift and have been using them for over two years now. They're thick and soft and hold up really well to repeated washing. They're not overly warm for the heaviness of the fabric-- they're a good weight for both the summer and winter.
