Solid FeatherLight? Medium Backpack
Fits great, cannot wait for school to start.

This backpack is great! It is lightweight and has many great features. The only thing that lacks is the water bottle holders. I
am using swell water bottles this year and it's narrow so it fits perfectly. If you plan to
use a wider bottle it will wear out quickly.

Lands End is the only brand I will buy for back packs
I am sooooo impressed with Lands End and their backpacks and lunch kits. It has been a year since I have purchased this back back for my 9 year old who tends to be "just a little rough" on his things. Not only did it last the year it looks BRAND NEW no rips or tears or wear marks of any sorts. Instead of replacing a backpack halfway through the year or throwing it away at the end of the school year this one is ready for year 2. I have 3 boys and all of them have Lands End back packs and the matching lunch kits. I would definitely recommend purchasing the EZ-wipe Lunch kit to go along with it .

My child is not hard on backpacks, but this one started to fall apart within the first few months. The hook at the top started to unravel and I had to sew it back together. For the price of these backpacks, I would expect them to last more than a few months.

This was purchased for my son. He loves this bag and it has held up great so far. I love the multiple pockets as well as sturdy divider in the large pocket. It is roomy, padded, and perfect.

We had the same backpack that went through 2 boys and at least 6 years of continuous use. It finally wore out. I tried to replace with another brand, but my son would not have it. Everything else is too big to fit in his locker at school. So as a Sophomore in high school, he's still carrying the kid's brand Land's End backpack. It might be a good idea to take out the tag inside that labels it from the kids department! : )

Should have bought the bigger one because it will last awhile
I bought this for my 5 th grade son. It's a goos size. He doesn't carry textbooks but does carry library books. It's a solid pack. Made well so I'm thinking I should have bought the next size up since he will be using it awhile. It got it on sale so it was well worth it. I would have purchased it either way as I knew it would be great product.
We got the red. I like the color.

This is our 5th backpack from Land's End. We love them and they last forever.
I have bought several backpacks from Land's End because they are well made and hold up to the daily abuse from my elementary aged children. My kids love them! They are stylish and have tons of space and places to put stuff. This one has an extra clip across the front that gives the pack more stability on the child's back and it won't slip off their shoulders.

My 10 year old loves it
The backpack is a bit smaller than I expected, but I compared the size of the medium and large and they are almost the same. They are much smaller than other companies backpacks. That said, I think many backpacks are way to big. My son brings home just a few books often and this seems fine. We have not had much cool weather yet, so he hasn't had a chance to use the cord for his jacket. It seems to be holding up well, I have not seen any problems with the water bottle pockets, but he doesn't use them much.

high quality, my son loves the colors
This backpack is really high quality, and nice and light, so when my son loads it up, the backpack itself is not adding to the burden. There are many pockets for organizing school work, pencils, snacks, etc. I already see an improvement in water bottles coming home with the water bottle pocket on the outside of the pack, and I expect a similar increase in jackets coming home once we get cooler weather, as he can use the bungee cords on the outside to corral his jacket!
