Solid ClassMateŽ Soft Sided Lunch Box
Smaller than expected and flimsy
I have purchased LE lunch boxes in the past (soft-sided and easy wipe), and recently purchased this one in the blue/yellow color for my child. While the colors are very nice, the quality of this is not the same as the LE lunch bags I have purchased in the past. My two previous LE lunch boxes have lasted over five years, but the inside lining finally started coming apart. Got tons of use out of them. I was very happy with the ones I had. This new one is very flimsy, and the depth is not large enough (height and width are fine) unless you have a small child that doesn't eat much or you do not use containers for your food. If I put a food container and beverage container, the bag starts to bulge by the time I add a piece of fruit. The inside lining also seems of poor quality as others have mentioned, so I am expecting it to tear or rip soon. Bring back the size and quality of the old ones!!!

Best lunch boxes EVER!
I have been buying these lunch boxes since my oldest of three (now 11) was in Pre-K. He has had 3 lunch boxes in 8 years. avg of 3 years per lunch bag is pretty good. My daughter has used the same one for 4 years. I know you probably should't (and maybe they would have lasted longer), but I put them through the dishwasher or washing machine every Friday. I hang them to dry. The lining on the inside eventually rips and that is why we end buying a new one. They are very durable and worth every penny!

Inside ripped after 2 months of use
OK, positives first: perfect size, comfy handle, good-quality zippers on both the main compartment and the outside pocket, and like the mesh bottle holder on the outside (it accommodates a 12-oz. metal water bottle perfectly.) Now the downside: despite our taking care not to put any sharp objects inside the lunchbox, the interior plastic liner separated at the seam after only 2 months of use. Planning to use Lands End's great return policy; will return box to Sears store and re-order same model, hoping the ripped interior was a fluke, though looking at other reviewers with same problem I have some doubts. Oh well, if it rips again at least I know I can return it.

Cute and convenient
We've been using the lunch box for just a couple weeks, so we'll see how it holds up long term. I was skeptical after reading some reviews about the lining breaking down. Couldn't beat the price on sale, so I decided to go for it. My daughter loves it, the space is adequate and the mesh pocket on the side is handy and fits her (hefty) water bottle. The outer pocket is great for holding an after school snack. Fingers crossed it lasts a long time!

Nice color and she loves the embroidery pic.
Good fit for everything she takes for lunch.

Durable, stylish, well-designed. A perfect lunch box for my 4th grader! She loves it.

Large size (great!) but inside ripped (not great)
I love the size of this lunchbox, because I can put the Ziploc divided rectangle container (with 3 compartments) in it and still fit a water bottle next to it inside (I prefer the drink inside to keep it cold with an ice pack) They are very nice looking lunchboxes and the outside is holding up great, but the silver lining inside ripped halfway through the school year on my daughter's lunchbox (my son's did not rip# so I returned it to Sears #great return policy) and ordered a replacement.

Great lunch box
My daughter has had this lunch box for two years, going on the third, and it has held up great. With a throw in the wash, it looks just like new. We use Easy Lunchbox containers and this lunchbox fits them perfectly, with room on the side for a water bottle or juice. I'm ordering a new one now for my second daughter who is heading into kindergarten.

Inside ripped quickly
The inside of the lunchbox ripped in several places within two months of the school year and we had to use duct tape to keep it together. However, the outside held up well and it was the perfect size, so I'll be ordering it again and keeping my fingers crossed that the inside is better made this year.

Did not hold up for school year
My daughter liked the look and functionality of this lunch box when she used it for the first grade school year. I, however, was very disappointed. After less than half the school year the lining was badly ripped and we had to use duct tape to hold it together. Unfortunately, as I'm trying to replace this box for 2nd grade, I'm finding that the size was perfect for her lunch (sandwich, small Tupperware with a veggie, and an 8 oz ball jam jar I used to hold a small serving of fruit smoothie). Many sizes I'm finding will not fit this lunch. Too bad the quality on this box is so poor, because the size was great.
