Solid ClassMateŽ Soft Sided Lunch Box
Interior lining came undone.
I ordered this lunchbox for my daughter in kindergarten. After one month the lining on the inside seam came apart. Lands end of course replaced it with a new one, which so far has held up. However, after reading the other reviews I am concerned about the replacement lunch box. My second grade daughter has had her lunch box from Lands end for almost three years and it's indestructible. The lining on hers is completely different. Otherwise, these lunch boxes are fantastic. Maybe next year they'll get it right.

Liner ripped - twice
Our older daughter has used the same Lands End lunch box for four years and it still works great. Although they don't make the same style, we ordered this lunch box for our younger daughter, including monogramming and an embellishment. It was pricey for lunch box, but we assumed it would also last for years. Within two months, the lining of the lunch box was falling apart. We thought we got a "lemon" and Lands End replaced the original lunch box (although, to our daughter's disappointment, in a different color because the original color had sold out). Six months later, the lining is again pulling apart and the lunch box is unusable. We will be looking elsewhere for quality lunch boxes.

Poor Quality Interior
My daughter is in 4th grade and every year we get her a new cooridinating backpack and lunchbox even though the one from the previous year is still in excellent condition. This year though the lunch box did not even make it 2 months. The interior seam on the bottom has come undone. I don't see a way that I can fix it myself and when I called customer service the color is on back order until January. I did like that the lunchbox kept her lunch extremely cold (the ice packs are still partly frozen when she comes home). But overall I'm disappointed I spent the extra money on embroidery and monogramming to personalize it and now it is all a waste :(

Liner ripped after one month
I was disappointed that after only a month of use by my kindergarten daughter, the interior liner ripped at the seam. And this wasn't even after a lot of washing. And even more disappointing, is that when I returned it and tried to reorder, it is out of stock, so my daughter doesn't get to have her lunchbox match her new backpack anymore. I know it's just a lunchbox, but she is disappointed.

Roomy with good compartments
I bought this lunch box in pink and purple for my preschoolers to take to daycare. The monogram is perfect for making sure they don't get mixed up. The quality of construction is great. The internal compartment is roomy, and the inside mesh pocket, outer pocket, and mesh drink holder help keep things organized. I can fit breakfast, lunch, and a snack with no problem, but it's still small enough for my girls to carry themselves. Haven't tried machine washing, but it has wiped clean nicely so far.

She loves it
Although costly for all the added embellishments my daughter wanted for her first lunchbox in Kindergarten, it completely meets our needs. Large enough for everything we like to pack...

Great lunch box
My kids have used Lands' End lunch boxes for years. We needed a new one this year. This one is great for my daughter in middle school. It keeps things cold and it's lightweight. I would like to see the lining fastened down inside, but it has not been a hinderence to using it.

I ordered these for 2 of my 3 children and they are MUCH better than the other brand I ordered. The zippered front pocket keeps morning snacks separate and safe. Also, the taller size fits a water bottle in addition to a full lunch. Plus there is a pocket on the side for a bottle if you need extra room inside. I highly recommend this style lunchbox!!

Nice lunch box, but smaller than expected
I purchased the aqua softsided lunch box for my 11 year old daughter. She is in 6th grade and attends a private school that does not have a lunch program. We read the measurements before ordering. The lunch box is very pretty and we like the material. The inside is rather small and shallow, so we can only fit a sandwhich box, fruit cup, small water and Capri/Yoohoo box, with frozen chiller. The website states the lunch box keeps items cold for up to 5 hours. She is in class for 4 hours before lunch, and so far her food has still been cool and not warm. That's good! The outer pocket is small and holds napkins, a fork or spoon, and one bag of chips, rice crispie treat, or pretzels. If your child is a big eater, this is not the lunch box to buy. However, if your child is a lighter eater this one is fine. We are pleased over all, but we've only been using it for two weeks. I hope it holds up all year.

Didn't last the year...
Lands End is my go-to for high quality kids products. My daughter's backpack from kindergarten is now heading into 5th grade, slightly faded but otherwise going strong. I bought 2 Lands End lunch boxes at the beginning of last school year, each one lined with the same metallic gray (thermal?) fabric. The exterior is still in great shape, but the interior material is riddled with little cracks and tears. When I wipe and rinse the interior at the end of each day water gets into the lining. I'm sure some yogurt and other food has found its way into those holes as well. Just not sanitary or up to Lands End standards.
