Rated 3 out of 5 by MildredX Khaki wrinkles easily
I bought this skirt in gray and khaki. The gray was a heavier material, held its pleats and does not need ironing out of the dryer. I was not happy however with the khaki. The fabric was lighter weight and comes out quite wrinkled from the dryer and does need ironing.

Rated 3 out of 5 by RedEyedMama Smaller than box pleat skirt. Frustrating.
I had first ordered the box pleat skirt in a 12 and it was huge so when I went back to reorder, I saw this one and liked it better and ordered the 10. It is snug and given that my gal will need to wear pants underneath (the reason I wanted a skirt, not a skort) I am afraid it is too small to keep. The measurement listed for the waist of of this 10 garment says 25 1/4" but the box pleat 10 skirt is 27 1/4 . My bad for not noticing that the styles had such different sizing. They are both a woven fabric with adjustable waist. You would think they would be cut with same numbers. Frustrating!. Especially since the bigger size is sold out.

The skirt is a good uniform skirt, I just wish it had fewer pleats.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SillySasha123 Finally found a skirt that works
My school has a very strict policy that skirts have to touch the knee. Since I am quite tall and thin for my age, we always had a problem with this, and we would have to get skirts that were several sizes bigger, let the hem down and my mom would sew elastics on them, which works, but isn't exactly the most comfortable thing in the world. This skirt fixes everything. Since the fit is below the knee, it reaches my knee perfectly, (but like I said, I am pretty tall) and the since we are finally able to get my true size, we have no problems with the waist band either, but the adjustable waist is a nice little addition as well.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Dmiky Length not flattering
I have a very tall 11 year old. 5' 4 1/2" and all leg. This skirt looked terrible on her. Otherwise the fabric and feel were nice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Momof4inNY Agreed - nice uniform skirt that really is below the knee
My daughter's school requires that skirts be below the knee, and I never thought I would be able to find this online. The school has a supplier for uniforms - when I felt the material of the school-provided uniforms, I knew I had to try something else. Lands' End saved the day! The quality of the material is certainly superior (I would prefer all natural fibers and material, but that was clearly not going to happen anywhere!), and the length was great. (I do wish this skirt came in a slim option because my 6-year-old is small - the adjustable waistband helps, but slim would be good too.) The fact that I didn't have to schlep to another town to get her uniforms in person - and wait on lines that I was told can go around the block! - was also wonderful. Keep it up until she graduates, please!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Momofsevengirls Nice skirt
The fabric and style is nice. Using the measurement guide, I ordered a Ladies size 6 and a Ladies size 8 for my daughters. However, both were huge on them, and we had to reorder size 4 for both. So I would say it runs a bit large. The length is good, below the knee, which is required for their school. The only thing that I don't really like is that there is stitching all the way down the pleat, I guess so it keeps the shape. I don't like the way that looks or lays.
