School Uniform Pleat Front Iron Knee® Stain & Wrinkle Resistant Chino Pants
soft and easy to care for
These uniform pants for school are great. Just like regular khakis so they will be worn to church and other places also. They are soft and fit well. They were a little long.

I purchased these for my 6th grader when he was in 3rd grade; now his brother 3 years later is wearing the same ones. I was informed NOT to wash with fabric softener AND I NEVER dry them in the dryer. I always hang them to dry. They still look fabulous. My first set I ordered I used fabric softener in them and they faded, but after I was told not to use it - they held their color better.

Holes in Knees
Knees ripped off in second day. I am very disappointed. I am a big fan of LE and this time you let me down. I might need to look for better quality ones.

Holes in the knees
With 3 boys who wear these pants as part of their school uniform, I have bought literally dozens of these pants. I appreciate the general quality, the adjustable waist, and the availability of slim sizes. I don't really appreciate the price, but I've gotten better at stocking up when they're on sale. My main issue with these, pants, though, is that they ALL eventually end up with holes in the knees. I feel a little better about it now, though; I used to just throw them away or give them to good will when I couldn't repair the knees anymore. Then I remembered that I could return them to Land's End for credit. They've been quite nice about it. So now I don't worry about it too much anymore. They last as long as they last. If LE starts making pants that don't rip in the knees, I won't have to return anymore.

weak iron knee
Pants look great at first, wash well, but not very "stain resistant" Iron knee does not hold up. Pants tore on the knee first time wearing with a fall on playground mulch. LE replaced, but still the knee fabric wears out very easily. I usually buy 4 pairs, and they last about 3 months wearing each pair 1X per week. For the price, should hold up better. ( Other parts of pants look good but knees wear terribly and render the pants useless once the fabric wears out on the knee area)

I had reviewed this product earlier in the year and I wanted to update everyone. I have a bunch of boys and all these pants kept getting holes on them after like 1 wear. We gathered all the pants we bought and got a complete refund. Then we bought cheap uniform pants. Not one hole the rest of the year in any of my boys pants.

It looks durable but too thick for Sydney summer. The size 14 has narrowed legs but too short and the size 16 were very wide on the legs though perfect length. Had to return it.

Holes in Knees
I am very disappointed in the quality of these expensive pants. I ordered several pair of these khakis and my son wore each once a week. 5 months after he started wearing these (about 20 wears), the knees are so ripped in EVERY PAIR, they are completely unsightly to the point he can no longer wear them to school. Yes, the interior patch is still intact, but who care when the outside of the pant is in shreds? Needless to say, I am not very happy that these didn't last through the end of the winter school season. I expected more from Lands End.

what happened to the slim fit
I bought these for my boys. they wore the size 7 regular fit then graduated to size 8 and regular fit doesn't fit anymore. they needed the slim fit but lands end stopped carrying the slim fit. i don't know why the sizing is not consistent. also the iron knee patch is not where their knees are so they still wear out their knee. if it weren't for the fact that they have to wear uniforms from LE, I would buy elsewhere.

I purchased these for our son. The school he attends require them for the school uniform. They are durable, high quality pants. We believe he will get good wear out of them this school year. The quality material will probably last longer but he grows very fast. :)
