School Uniform Pleat Front Iron KneeŽ Stain & Wrinkle Resistant Chino Pants
soft and easy to care for
These uniform pants for school are great. Just like regular khakis so they will be worn to church and other places also. They are soft and fit well. They were a little long.

I purchased these for my 6th grader when he was in 3rd grade; now his brother 3 years later is wearing the same ones. I was informed NOT to wash with fabric softener AND I NEVER dry them in the dryer. I always hang them to dry. They still look fabulous. My first set I ordered I used fabric softener in them and they faded, but after I was told not to use it - they held their color better.

I purchased these for our son. The school he attends require them for the school uniform. They are durable, high quality pants. We believe he will get good wear out of them this school year. The quality material will probably last longer but he grows very fast. :)

weak iron knee
Pants look great at first, wash well, but not very "stain resistant" Iron knee does not hold up. Pants tore on the knee first time wearing with a fall on playground mulch. LE replaced, but still the knee fabric wears out very easily. I usually buy 4 pairs, and they last about 3 months wearing each pair 1X per week. For the price, should hold up better. ( Other parts of pants look good but knees wear terribly and render the pants useless once the fabric wears out on the knee area)

I had reviewed this product earlier in the year and I wanted to update everyone. I have a bunch of boys and all these pants kept getting holes on them after like 1 wear. We gathered all the pants we bought and got a complete refund. Then we bought cheap uniform pants. Not one hole the rest of the year in any of my boys pants.

It looks durable but too thick for Sydney summer. The size 14 has narrowed legs but too short and the size 16 were very wide on the legs though perfect length. Had to return it.

Holes in Knees
I am very disappointed in the quality of these expensive pants. I ordered several pair of these khakis and my son wore each once a week. 5 months after he started wearing these (about 20 wears), the knees are so ripped in EVERY PAIR, they are completely unsightly to the point he can no longer wear them to school. Yes, the interior patch is still intact, but who care when the outside of the pant is in shreds? Needless to say, I am not very happy that these didn't last through the end of the winter school season. I expected more from Lands End.

what happened to the slim fit
I bought these for my boys. they wore the size 7 regular fit then graduated to size 8 and regular fit doesn't fit anymore. they needed the slim fit but lands end stopped carrying the slim fit. i don't know why the sizing is not consistent. also the iron knee patch is not where their knees are so they still wear out their knee. if it weren't for the fact that they have to wear uniforms from LE, I would buy elsewhere.

Doesn't last past about 50 wears. Needs an iron seat, too.
I purchased these pants for my Kindergartner and he wore them about once per week from late August. The following April (less than 50 days of wear), most of these pants did not wear well enough to see him through the end of the school year. On the knee, the pants material wore through to holes about 1 inch in diameter, and the 'iron' knee started to rip. Even more disappointing was the seat. The seams of the inside pockets on the rear wore 4 holes through the seat! So much so that I had to add iron-on patches myself in January. I know little kids are active and clothes get damaged and wear out, but for the price I paid for each pair of pants, I'm disappointed in how these pants performed.

I like the pants because they wash well but don't like how fast the knees wear out. My son's pants all rip just below the iron knee patch.
