School Uniform Plain Front Iron Knee® Blend Chino Pants
Great School Pants
These Land's End pants are the perfect school uniform pant. My son wears these pants every day for school - after multiple washing, they still look good. The adjustable waistband is a MUST for growing boys. If only you can make the length adjustable as my son outgrows these faster than they wear out!

Fabulous school pant that we use for many other occasions.

exactly what I wanted
The only place I can get a tiny waist and (now) 32 inch inseam for my son. Exactly what I wanted: excellent wear, excellent stain resistance, and excellent no-iron. Looks neat & clean, long & skinny, and wears well--what else is there?

hard to find small waist!
These come in the nice small waist for my tall but thin son! A great work pant.

I have ordered the easy-care chinos many times before and have been very content...this pair seemed much stiffer and my son mentioned that they were not as comfortable as his others. I have washed them numerous times. Still stiff. The fabric seems to be very durable (time will tell, we've had them for several weeks). If the "wearer" has issues with softness or scratchy-ness then these pants may not be the right ones for you. My son is tough on his clothing so I am keeping these for durability reasons.

They changed the fabric
I ordered these pants to replace a previous pair of Lands End khakis that wore out. The previous pair were 100% cotton and looked much nicer. My son is 16 and doesn't wear a uniform to school. Lands End makes the only khaki pants that I can find in 27x35. We will be sending these back as the new material looks like a cheap uniform pant rather than a casual pair of khakis.

I bought these pants as school pants for my son. I should have ordered a swatch before ordering it, as it looks much darker on the photo, than in real life. It doesn't match the school uniform colour as a result, so I had to return it. Otherwise it looked like good quality hard wearing pants.

These pants fit my hard to fit Grandson very well and I am very, very pleased. I am disappointed that I was charged shipping for my order and then received a card in the mail that all orders were free shipping until Dec 17.

Is fine as far as uniforms go
It is difficult for me to review the fit because my son is smaller than the average 8 year old. I have to get the slims because the regulars would fall right off of him (even with the waist adjustment). I also have to get them hemmed no matter what. I have to get 6 pairs of uniform pants for him a year...not because he grows!! The school picked the beige pants as their uniform color, and it is VERY difficult to get the grass stains and asphalt stains out without discoloring the pants. Also, any young boy will wear through them very quickly. I have found that they don't just wear in the knees.

Keeps color & wears well, but sizing (Slim) is off and shrinks...
I originally ordered 12S Navy (w/unfinished hem) which is the size my son wears in LE jeans (which are the same age and still look and fit great) for a 23.5 inch waist and 29 inch inseam, but they were very baggy when I pulled in the adjustable waist and the length after hemming would have been excessive (which I was trying to avoid by dropping my regular brand for LE). So I exchanged the 12S for a 10S and hemmed the pants to a 30 inch inseam. Soon I noticed that the 10S's that had fit "perfectly" at first were now squeezing his waist, the zipper didn't quite close, and the inseam had shrunk to 27 inches! So back the 10S's go for 12S's again as the 12S's should shrink to a comfortable fit. Though these pants are the best option for my tall slim boy, a problem with the styling of Slim "School Uniform Plain Front Iron Knee® Blend Chino Pants" is that they fit like "skinny jeans" (skinny jeans and tight pants are usually prohibited by school uniform codes), when they should fit more like slacks; "Slim" pants should *look* the same on a slim child as size "Regular" pants do on an average size child.
