Rated 1 out of 5 by DTET Shrinks to the point of being unwearable.
As other reviewers have noted, this material shrinks like crazy. I washed my daughter's pants on cold and with low heat and still they shrunk up to the point where they now look like cropped pants. (I unfortunately ordered BEFORE LE added their note about adding inseam length). So, I now have a bunch of too short, too small/skin tight pants my daughter can't wear to school. What a waste.

My 9 year daughter had been asking for "skinny" pants for school. The pencil leg fits the bill! Great looking pants, seem well made. My only complaint is that I wish they came in slim sizes. I had to put the buttons on the last holes for the adjustment and they look very bunched up in the waist and through the bottom.

Rated 3 out of 5 by FoundationsMom The legs are a bit side for smaller girls. Even the slims run large.
The quality is great but the pants are very wide in the leg.

Rated 2 out of 5 by AJL need longer inseam options
My daughter is a slim size 12, and loved the fit of these pants until we washed them. They shrunk considerably, and are now too short. We ordered the longest inseam option - 27. Would be a great option for my daughter if longer inseams were available.

They looked great on my daughter when we got them, but they shrunk up 1 1/2 inches in just six washings. Also, the fabric got pilled looking. Had to return a pair and reorder longer size. I will no longer wash them with the normal laundry. Cold wash and hang dry only :-( This is a hassle, but I will put up with it since they are the only uniform pants that don't look frumpy on my daughter.

This is our third year buying these pants for school. They have an adjustable waist and are stretchy for comfort. They last all year long. Great buy for school.

I have been buying the stretch chinos for my daughter and they fit great. Unfortunately they are no longer available so I bought these because the description states they are not "too loose or too tight". They fit my daughter's legs like skinny jeans. I still have to cinch the waist on the size 7 pants I ordered last year but I couldn't even get these buttoned. Please bring back the old style stretch chino!!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by LindaBoston Legs are far too skinny!
I have purchased these same pants for the last couple of years for my daughter. They usually fit and wear quite well. This year, however, that is not the case. You made them far too skinny! I had a very tearful daughter on my hands this morning as she went to put these on and cried how they are too skinny and didn't fit her, she is 8 and cried that her thighs are fat and they don't fit in these pants. She is far from fat, but is highly athletic and hates any kind of skinny pants. It is next to impossible to find pants for girls these days that are not skinny, I don't know what is wrong when all the 8 year olds are wearing skinny pants. Lands End, please bring back the other style of these pants. I am now going to spend my morning scouring the internet looking for non-skinny uniform pants.

Rated 3 out of 5 by ColleenML Good fit except for length shrinkage.
I ordered these pants for my 9 year old. She loves the slim fit and the size 10 fits great with the adjustable waist. However, after washing the inseam shrunk over an inch. They now are just right but will be too short in a few months. We ordered the longest inseam for size 10. Lands End needs to offer longer inseams if the pants are not pre-shrunk. I ordered 3 pair but returned one since we will need new pants by winter.
