School Uniform Girls' Solid Pleated Skirt (Below The Knee)
Not Lands' End's Finest
We have purchased now 3 of these skirts as they are part of my daughter's choir uniform. The first one had a thread above the pleats unravel after only 2 wearings. The second, we had no issues with. Recently, we ordered another one as she has grown but had great difficulty getting the correct size for her. Even though we used the sizing chart as a guide, it took 3 orders to get the right size. So keep in mind it runs large. It does wear well and if it's shaken and hung just out of the washer, it doesn't require much ironing.

Not below knee
My daughter needs a black skirt that covers the knees for school orchestra. If my daughter would sit down on the stage, this skirt was too short and I could see the between the leg. I needed a longer skirt and returned this one. Otherwides, it looks nice as uniform.

The "below-the-knee" length is perfect
My daughter's school requires that skirts be below the knee, and I never thought I would be able to find this online. The school has a supplier for uniforms - when I felt the material of the school-provided uniforms, I knew I had to try something else. Lands' End saved the day! The quality of the material is certainly superior (I would prefer all natural fibers and material, but that was clearly not going to happen anywhere!), and the length and the slim fit for my tiny daughter (just six years old, and only 36 lb.) were perfect. The fact that I didn't have to schlep to another town to get her uniforms in person - and wait on lines that I was told can go around the block! - was also wonderful. Keep it up until she graduates, please!!

This skirt is coming apart at the seams, literally.
This skirt looks adorable and we were initially happy with it. However, after the first wearing, I noticed threads coming out and had to trim them off to keep it looking neat. After the second wearing, the seams on the pleats have started unraveling. Now I'm afraid to wash it because I know it'll be a mess afterward. I plan on returning this skirt, but even more frustrating is that I will have to order another one since my daughter's school will only let the students wear this brand. Lands' End, the quality of your clothing has been going downhill in recent years. Please spend more time reinforcing seams, zippers, etc. so that we can continue enjoying your clothes.

All my friends got a very similar skirt in a few diifferent stores and they were all at lest 10 bucks more!
But this skirt is not only much cheaper, the quality is amazing and very soft and well fitted. If you are looking for a uniform skirt and etc, this is the right one!

Way too long...
This skirt has been my daughter's school uniform for three years now. I have a bunch from last year, but I bought three in the same size because I wanted my daughter to have new ones. They are MUCH longer than last year's style. My daughter will only wear the old ones. I can't say I blame her. They are so long, it looks silly.

My daughter loves this skirt. Easy and comfortable.

Please bring back the old skirts! These are WAY too long, even by our school's strict dress code standards!!! At least, give a petite length option for shorter girls.

The skirt is too long for petite girls.
My daughter is 5' 1 1/2 and this skirt is way too long. Please provide an option for petite girls. A petite version of the skirt can be about 3 inches shorter. That would still be below the knee for her. The pleats are nice though and the waist fits like other Land's End skirts. Unfortunately, due to the length, we had to return the skirt.
