Rated 2 out of 5 by CrazySexyCool Quality is ok
This is one of the few options for uniforms for my daughter, so not too many options on buying or not buying. Overall, the quality is okay. I've owned it for a only a few weeks and it's gone through many washes, and it looks worn already. The navy color is starting to fade, the fabric collar is getting worn and the button holes are getting loose! Its not holding up as well as I thought considering we've hardly owned it and I was hoping it would last the school year. I think it's way overpriced for what you get. I'm disappointed overall.

Rated 1 out of 5 by jawalther0000 I love the looks of this dress, BUT I'm very disappointed with the quality
This is my first year to purchase school uniforms for my kindergartener so I shopped around reading user reviews from several brands. I was looking for quality products that look good all year without requiring a lot of high maintenance. I noticed the user comments about this dress separating at the seams and getting holes at the tops of the pleats, but overall the ratings were good. I loved the looks of this style so I took a chance and ordered one in navy and one in red.
After three weeks of school both colors have been worn once, laundered, and hung up to dry. I always pretreat stains in my child's clothes, but both colors had to be laundered twice to remove small stains. About an inch of the seam at the dropped waist on the red dress has separated completely in the front and a couple of other areas are beginning to separate. Both colors have faded slightly, but its more pronounced with the navy. The navy dress has one 1/4" hole at the top of one of the front pleats and a couple of areas at the dropped waist seam are beginning to separate simply from being washed. I can mend where the stitching is coming apart, but I shouldn't have to, especially after being worn once. This is not the quality I expect from Lands End.
I had planned to purchase the long sleeve versions of this dress, but after so many problems with the short sleeve dresses so early in the school year I will be waiting until Lands End reintroduces the knit interlock version that was apparently available in previous years.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Gernalene Color fades after first wash
My daughter loved these dresses for their comfort, but the navy color looked horrible right away even washing in cold and line drying. All the girls at her school had the same problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Michu Love the fit and it is wonderfully wash and wear!
I love the quality of the fabric! It washed and dried well. Was ready to wear out of the dryer and it doesn't have a faded look.

Rated 3 out of 5 by JuiceFanatic starts big but shrinks
We've used these uniforms for the past 3 years (purchase new sizes each year). They fit a little big at first, but shrink after not too long since we wash them at least once (if not twice) each week.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Carebearmama Looks comfy and conservative.
When this arrived in size 5 for my 4 year old it first looked a bit big, not overly big just baggy and below the knee. I wanted this fit as to give room to grow. I washed immediately and it shrank about an inch and 1/2 in length and now fits perfect. I was hoping for growing room and i do have a tad bit of room but not if it continues shrinking. I will wash and hang dry from now on as i think a size 6 would be huge but i may buy 1 to compare. My daughter is 41 inches and 37 pounds. 21 inch waist. She actually measures a size 4. Most reviews say the fit is big and i thought it was a very accurate size 5 before the shrinking. Also i bought the long sleeve version and it fit slightly smaller. The sleeves are snug fitting and it shrank two inches so had to return those. I got several different colors and had the same result. Definitely don't size down if your between sizes and wash when you get it if the fit is too big. This is my experience with little girls sizes and this may not be the case with larger sizes.
