by Olga229 Nice fit
I love the sweater . I got one last year for school and it was perfect ( still is a year later after numerous washes ) . But I'm not sure why but the one I got now ( blue one ) got a hole on the sleeve the 2nd day my son wore it to school .. Probably a defect in fabric ..I wish I kept a receipt
But an old one from last year is still holding up perfect so I would still buy it but definitely keep a receipt if you get it

Rated 4 out of 5 by Reng Good but I long for the olden days
I have a closet full of women's Drifter crew neck petite sweaters from several years ago. I greatly wish that Land's End would return with that product in both long and short sleeves. Cable knit looks pretty on the models, but, frankly, I don't think cable knit is flattering to most women. A plain crew is so versatile and can be accented with jewelry or scarves to come up with a variety of looks. This uniform sweater fits fine on my 5'2" frame, but Is a little more snug than the women's sweater was. Also, the diagonal stitching from the shoulders differs from the old sweaters. They had a stitchline that extended horizontally from the neckline, then went diagonal. This was perfect for accessorizing. I plan to buy a couple more of these uniform sweaters, but I hope the company will consider returning to the classic Drifter crew in misses and petite sizes.

Rated 1 out of 5 by KL3 This sweater is awful.
Not at all happy with this sweater. I purchased it for my son in medium to start with (that is what he always wears). Way too small. Returned it and next purchased a large. Fit in width, but was not near long enough. Returned and purchased an XL - way too large in width and still not long enough. That too was returned. Found out it does not come in tall length so returned everything and he goes to school without being able to wear a sweater.

Rated 5 out of 5 by HKWB good quality
purchased for daughter's school uniform. bought one size smaller since sweater is sized for a boy and the fit is good. although we have not washed the sweater yet, the qulity seems good and the fiber has a nice hand to it.

True to size, maybe a little big. This is worn with a uniform skirt. Very preppy!!

I needed some basic sweaters in basic colors, and this one fit the bill. The sale price made it all the more attractive.

My older daughter loves these, because she can wear them without having to wear a collared shirt underneath them. She hates layers!! So - for school uniforms - these are the best choice!! They retain their shape well, don't seem to have shrunk any at all (even with repeated drying), and they don't wrinkle - unlike the collar on the standard polo's!! So, 2 Thumbs Up from me on these!! Well worth it!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Portland3 Fit is tighter, not as sturdy as past sweaters
The fit is a bit tighter than past Drifter sweaters and it feels like lighter - not as sturdy as in the past but I have Drifters that are 5 years old.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Happy2Hike Love these sweaters and have one in each color.
I have bought these sweaters for several years and love both the fit and the color selection. They are great with jeans or can be dressed up with other casual pants. They launder beautifully and hold up well for several seasons.

I am a traditionalist at heart, and I love a basic crew neck sweater. Trying to find one, however, is sometimes fruitless and frustrating. When I saw that Lands' End had them, I had to order the basic black and navy to add to my diminishing sweater wardrobe. I am thrilled to say that they have met and exceeded my expectations. They are comfortable, well-made, and they wash well. I just stuck them in the washer on gentle cyle (cold water, of course) and then put them in the dryer on cool for about 15 minutes to take any wrinkles out; then I put them on a drying rack overnight. They look brand new. I love my new sweaters; in fact, I have ordered the same sweater in two more colors...I know, crazy, huh? They are worth every penny.
