School Uniform Box Pleat Skirt (Above The Knee)
Live this skirt
This is by far my daughters favorite skirt for school. It is the perfect length and it's great quality. It is a pain to iron with all the pleats, but requires ironing to look crisp. I wish I could get this in khaki as well.

I'm disappointed with these skirts! My daughters school just switched over to lands end as their uniform supplier, which at first I was excited about because I've used lands end for my younger boys uniforms and I've always been happy. The main thing is that these skirts need to be ironed if you want them to look decent. The skirts she had last year with another uniform supplier didn't have this problem. Even if I get the skirt immediately from the dryer, it's still wrinkled. It is such a pain!!! If you are a busy mom who doesn't have time to iron out a skirt every time it's washed, then try to find a similar looking skirt somewhere else.. It really bothers me because if I don't have the time (which I don't!!) then she looks shabby at school and I don't like that. LANDS END- IF YOU ARE LISTENING, PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS PROBLEM. I don't know much about clothes and material, but I have had my kids in catholic schools long enough where I have bought a lot of pleated skirts that don't wrinkle, so there must be a solution. I'm very unhappy with these skirts and this is the only negative thing I've ever said or written about lands end. PLEASE FIX IT!!! On the other hand, the shirts they are required to get are nice. My only complaint (and it's a BIG complaint) are these skirts!! I'm a fan if lands end but if I have to go another 3 years with these skirts, I'm going to go crazy. If anyone knows where I can get the same kind of skirt somewhere else, please let me know.. Thank you!!

this is at the knee, not above the knee, at least if you order your usual size. they do sit at the natural waist, i probably could have ordered a size down but it's not such a difference that it's worth exchanging. good quality material.

Women's sizing runs LARGE
According to the size chart, we measured daughter's waist and ordered an 8. (29-30" waist and 39" hip). The skirt practically fell off her. We sized down 2 whole sizes to a 4 because that's how big it was. This was only a 2" difference from the 8 and the skirt is still to big around the waist. She can fit her arm in there. As for the length, my kid is 5'4" and to us the skirt seems long. I think that's just a matter of personal preference though. These are for private school and I think the length is more than appropriate. We like the skirt overall, they just need to work on the sizing. We are keeping the skirt as school starts in 2 weeks and I think she can live with it. I may attempt to take it in myself.

My daughter loves these skirts...it's all she wants to wear! She loves that it's "twirly," and now my younger daughter wants them. Please make them in khaki!

This skirt is absolutely adorable! The fabric is a nice weight and lays perfectly. The length is spot on! I find it hits right above the knee which l find is the cutest length on little girls and preteens. The only downside is how wide the waist is. Yes, the waist is adjustable however, I definitely think this skirt should be made with a slim, average, plus option. My daughter is an average size 11 year old who never wears a slim, but we would have purchased a slim for her in this skirt if it was available. Also, please please please make this skirt in khaki!!!

Love the fit of this skirt.
Love the fit of this skirt! It is my daughters favorite of all the school skirts in her closet. I only wish it came in khaki!

This skirt is wonderful. Our schools conservative principle even said "How CUTE" when she walked in.
This skirt is awesome. I am on line ordering a second one because we love the first one so much. The skirt is an appropriate length for a little girl. The "below the knee" length skirts offered by LE look terrible on the girls whose families don't make the effort to shorten them to an appropriate length for their ages. (Who wants to see a second grade girl with her skirt practically at her ankles?? YUK!)
My daughter is a size slim in all things I purchase for her and love that this skirt has the adjustable waist. I did not order down a size and the skirt is not "bunchy" when cinched to her waist size.
Very nice fabric. Maintains the pleat with a little help from the iron. (I do not dry this skirt.)

Not nice looking; too short
I returned this to Sears. Didn't care for fabric and ran way too large albeit my daughter is super skinny.
I prefer the longer skirts on her. This one didn't look right with the blazer.
