School Uniform 2-button Stretch Skort (Above The Knee)
Meh. Frumpy and longer than stated on LE website
Great twill skort. However, the skirt is NOT 18" per the pdf for the skirt, but rather 20". I think it runs a size big. I wear a 4-6 and bought a 4. It would be hard to shorten unless you were a seamstress "not because it has to small slits on either side of the hem. Anyway, on me, it falls at the knee. I'm 5'6, but have a long torso and shorter legs. Exchanging for something else. I might take a photo before I.send it back.

The quality of the skirt is great, however the monogramed was misplaced.
I was disappointed because the monogram was put in the wrong place--on the front of the skirt instead of the back of it. I would have returned them, but I was afraid it would take a month to get the new ones back and they were needed now and not a month from now. I really just assumed this was something they would get correct, but they didn't. Thankfully, my daughter did not mind the monogram on the front.

Just right for the classroom
As a teacher in sunny San Diego I needed something comfortable but more formal than shorts for hot days in the classroom. This skort fits well and the material is substantial - much like chinos. The knit shorts beneath the skirt are nice and soft. Looks put together while I dash around the room.

Not true to size
WARNING to those that purchase both colors.......the sizing of the khaki and blue are significantly different.
I ordered this skort for my 7yo in both Khaki and Navy Blue. When I received the skorts I could immediately see a huge difference. The khaki one was an inch wider and an inch shorter than the navy blue version. The length is supposed to be 12" and the khaki was only 11". Additionally, the interior belt wouldn't cinch at all. Upon close inspection it had been sewn into the skirt. I called customer service to complain and the CS rep confirmed that the skirt was defective and the sizing was incorrect based on their chart. She sent me a new one. Upon receipt I compared it to the old one and it's the exact same incorrect size. It's huge on my daughter, even cinched as tight as it'll go. Called CS again and had to order a new one a size smaller. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the new size fits as I really don't want to have to call again.

Like the khaki but would like more colors like black, olive.
Quality is pretty good, fit is more snug than previous years' model.
Would like the traditional waistline instead of the present lower waistline.
Also, would be nice to have a dressier color like black or dark khaki.
The skort is quite comfortable but somewhat pricey. I wear it almost everyday
for gardening work and other chores. Great for travel, not much wrinkling.

The waist size is too big.
According to the size chart, this one (Size 8) should be fit for 23 inches-waist and 53 inches-height ( my daughter). However, this skort size was BIG BIG on the waist, even though I pulled out all elastc- band . I measure the waist of the Skort itself, it is 26-27 inches. Way big for 23 inch-waist. But the length was right. I like the quality regarding fabric texture and colors ( including after washing and drying). It is my kids school uniform, so they wear it all the time. Very sporty but still keeps girls figures.
I had to re-order the smaller size ( size 7). I haven't receive it yet; so I don't know how it will fit for my kid.

While I wish Lands' End still made the easy-care just-above-knee skorts I bought three or four years ago, this is the next best thing. It's a bit shorter, the fabric requires more careful handling, and the waistband' s a little different, but overall it works for me.
My one problem has been the fact that the waist is loose on me, especially after stretching out at the end of the day. Ordering one size smaller would probably have taken care of that issue, but seriously emphasized my peri-menopausal paunch. So I found a matching wool surcingle belt, which has been an attractive compromise. (Frankly, I think it's probably my body that's the problem, not the skort. :))

Pleased with purchase
This skort is easy to wear, comfortable, washes well with minimal wrinkling in the dryer. It does wrinkle when wearing and it is a little shorter than I would like. I am not very tall and hoped it would be more at the knee than above the knee (product description).
All in all I'm pleased with this purchase.

This skort is perfect for Girl Scouts.
We were looking for a comfy skort for Girl Scout camp and this skort fit perfectly. My 9 year old had to wear it to camp right away, she came home raving how she could do anyrhing in it, climbing, running, hopping and sitting. We purchased the light tan which is the jr. cadet color to go with her camp shirt. We had to adjust the waist with the inserts to fit (love the stretch elastic with the buttons). The spandex adds to the skort for full movement and the softness is unreal. Great Job LE.
