Men's Tailored Fit SuperNatural? Wool Suit Jacket
Good Fitting Quality Suit
I am 6'3" and 190 lbs but have a skinny waist. Got a 42L and it fit very well for my sleeve length (I wear a 15 and 1/2 by 36 shirt). The coat length could have been shorter but I'm not complaining. Just make sure you actually are tall if you order a long, otherwise just get a regular and let the sleeves out. Its definitively not too tailored, its unrealistic to expect any jacket off the rack to fit your waist perfectly. But that said off the rack I could (and will) wear this and look great, but I'll probably still have a tailor bring it in, I like the suit to truly be mine and look like it was made for me. Fabric is good, looks classic--feels modern. Love the pattern and color. Not sure how I felt about the breast pocket at first but I've come to like it, its unique but doesnt stand out. Some people wont even notice it unless you point it out.

I'm 6'1" and this jacket, 40L, was just a little longer than I prefer. I really wish it fit me better (or I fit it better) because it is a nice jacket. Also FYI the dark charcoal is nearly black, much darker than in the photo. I considered buying the 40R but after looking at the 40L jacket I decided I wanted the matching pants but the pants didn't have enough rise to the waist.

Impeccable Fit and Unique Styling
The first thing I noticed when scanning the reviews for this jacket was the large number of negative comments. My only experience with Lands' End tailored fit suit jackets was tremendously positive so I was confused. Then I saw the average age of the reviewer (55-64 category seems to be the majority age range) and thought that must be it. That age range prefers a certain fit and styling. I completely understand. However, I'm 31 and appreciate a nice tailored fit and styling details that make a suit stand apart from the rest. The styling of this jacket is unique and the fit impeccable. I have NEVER had a suit jacket fit me perfectly off the rack. The fit feels custom. Amazing. I gave this jacket a try and I'm SO glad I didn't listen to the reviews. I'm ordering another as we speak in a different color. By the way, I work in the financial services industry and feel completely comfortable wearing this suit in a professional setting. Lands' End please continue to produce these finely made tailored fit jackets (and pants). I would love to see additional style options in the future.
With the quality guarantee to back up my purchases I can say without a doubt that I've found my new suiting source and it's definitely Lands' End!

UGLY front patch pocket
Why would you take something nice and make it ugly? Because some designer claims it's the latest new thing? A patch front breast pocket is unprofessional looking. So sorry Lands End has ruined their lovely men's blazer.

really ugly suit coat
I've been purchasing clothes (including suits) at Lands End for years, with great satisfaction--until now. This version of their suit coats includes a pocket sewn on the outside of the jacket. It looks ridiculous, by no means appropriate either to the fabric & cut or to the kinds of business purposes for which I purchased it. I think that the exterior pocket really calls attention to itself, and not in a good way. I'd LOVE for Lands End to go back to its traditional styling with the pocket on the inside, as is standard for suits.

The fabric is excellent but the jacket design is cheap
I have bought Landsend blazer jackets in the past, and they were made in Mexico. I have been very satisfied with each one. So, I decided to buy this suit jacket, and also the slacks. The jacket has breast pocket shoddily patched on (which I had not noticed in the picture) and it makes the jacket look cheap. Also, it is tight all over and I really have not put on any weight lately. It is made in India. I am afraid the jacket has to go back, and the pants which have not yet arrived for reasons unknown, will also be returned upon arrival. I hope I am not experiencing a decline in the quality of Landsend products.

Not as expected - Returned
I have bought a number of suits at Lands End in the past. I stopped when quality dropped-off a few years ago. I was hoping, given the description, that this new arrival would signal the return of a quality suit - I was disappointed. Material is thin, has a coarse look to it and has very little lustre for a supposedly super 120's fabric. The chest pocket is a patch pocket (should have read the other reviews more closely), which gives the jacket a less than dressy look and makes it difficult to wear in a business office environment. Although I am a very standard size 40, this suit was slightly tight at the shoulders but then a full inch too short in the sleeves - the proportions seemed a bit off. Unfortunately, had to return.

Well made, but wide around the waist
The shoulders fit well, true to size. Unfortunately, the waist area flared out a good bit, which was surprising considering it's a tailored suit. Perhaps the pockets are set further. I was very happy with the fit of the accompanying pants, but returned to suit nonetheless and went with the tailored style from banana republic.

Great suit except for breast pocket
Material and fit are great and very comfortable. Only reservation is the outside breast pocket which is a patch type pocket instead of the traditional inside pocket and is too informal for comfortably wearing to court or a business meeting. Given the high quality and utility of the suit fabric, including a metal pants zipper which is much appreciated given what dry cleaning and pressing does to the usual plastic zippers, it is hard to understand the reason for the untraditional breast pocket. If it were a traditional pocket, I would likely buy more of these suits (previous 110's wool Lands End suits have lasted 15 to 20 years). The informal patch breast pocket limits the usefullness of the suit. Lands End suits are never going to be edgy or a fashion statement and should be conservative, reliable and timeless - my message to the designers. The tailored fit works very well, but not the unusual breast pocket.
