Great Hat?especially for the price!
First, this hat is not a fashion statement?it's more of a keep your head and ears warm statement?a "block heater" if you please. That's not to say it looks bad or dorky, though. It is a water resistant ball cap with ear flaps and lined completely in fleece, so the hat is indeed warm and dry. The bill or brim can be shaped as you please. Sizing? I believe this Squall Hat will fit nearly any size adult male head. There's an adjustment strap in the back in addition to a bit of embeded elastic. I have a big head?measures 24½ inches?the hat fits perfect (with still a bit of room) with the adjustment almost fully extended. The adjustment strap can be pulled-in another three inches, meaning it will fit heads down to about 21½ inches. This translates to hat sizes from 6? to 7??pin heads to bowling ball heads (like me). Field tested by moi on the Canadian Prairie running a big honkin' snow blower at temps well below 0? with a brisk breeze, often blowing snow back into my face. The result? Warm and dry bald head and big ears! Excellent, 5 boats?buy one at a great price and stay warm!

Not Flashy, But Warm
This is a great hat for winter in the Northwest. The shell sheds drizzle nicely, and the fleece lining is quite warm. The ear flaps are welcome on occasion, but when folded up they hang away from the hat and look kind of goofy. A bit of Velcro or a snap to hold the flaps in place would be a nice touch, but for the price this hat can't be beat. Well made, and the LXL fits my 7 5/8 head great with adjustability either way.

Nice looking, cozy fleece ling, bill seems stiff though, seems to run small
I ordered the Large/XL size fits me ok with just a hint of room but I am a 5'6 woman and although my head is large for my size, I doubt it's large for a man's size, so I'm saying those of you with actual XL heads will find this tight. The hat is warm, slides on my head great and has a nice profile, but the bill seems incredibly stiff, with the most noticable part directly on the front of the head. I have lots of hair and can slide a thin liner in to cushion it, but if you can't, it may be uncomfortable. Also the "adjustable part".... yeah, it's not like a baseball cap adjuster, it's set at the size and can only be cinched smaller.
