Men's Plain Front Tailored Fit Year'rounder Wool Dress Pants
These pants are perfect for work
These pants are unmatched in the market at their price point and quality. I wear them to work every day.
I had problems getting them properly hemmed, but once I reordered, everything was corrected and they turned out the right length.
I just hope they don't redesign them to be a higher rise like the rest of Land's End's pants. I am not trying to sag my pants like a gangster, and of course dress pants should fit at the waist, but not all of us are 6' tall and these pants are perfect for shorter men as they are.
I will order more when they are on sale again, as long as the design doesn't change.
My only suggestion is for them to make a "heavy" hem to help them stay down, because they are relatively light wool, and a thicker/heavier hem would help pull them down better. If I was 6' tall, I'd probably just have them made cuffed and eliminate that problem.

If you can find these on sale, get them. I have several pairs and they are perfect work pants because they look very nice but are also durable enough to withstand riding the bus. Tailored fit is perfect for an average build because it takes out some of the billowed look that the traditional fit has.

Good weight pants - terrible quality control
The bad: This is the second pair of these pants that I've purchased. The first pair had incomplete stitching at the seam in the top of the wasteline near the middle of the back. So did the second pair. Instead of getting a new pair, I'm going to take them to my tailor to fix them. I'm new to Lands End and so far 50% of the clothing that I've purchased has had defects that warrant having a professional fix them.
The good: These pants fit well. They are medium-light in weight and not too hot for a Florida summer. I don't think they would do well during a cold winter, but I'm confident they are year-round for Florida. I love the tailored lenght - saves a trip to my tailor (when the pants don't have a defect). The fabric looks nice, everything seems to be holding up. They are great for a business casual office.

Pockets open up and interior pills
I bought a pair of the Charcoal pants. The material is fairly thin, so good for Summer. Curiously, I bought Navy pants more recently, and the material seems thicker. They look good, although for some reason, the pocket slits do not stay against my body very well, but they puff up and cause the pocket to seem a bit open. Also, the interior pocket material is pilling badly and now feels kind of sandpapery.

Nice summer pants, not sure they are "year'round"
I live in Florida and these are great for summer. They are lighter weight. I don't know how they'd fare well over the winter, though. When I tried them on, my wife pointed out that the back seam had split at the top. It looked as though there was reinforcement and I thought that it could've been designed that way (the split was only a millimeter or so). However, after a day at work, the seam had split further so I returned them. I re-ordered the same pants as they were quite comfortable.
Pros - Great fit, fabric is comfortable for the summer, great business casual pants, good quality
Cons - Lighter weight may not work for cold winters, initial quality was off but this may be an anomaly

I was surprised by the quality of these pants. Also good fit and length.

Great light-weight dress pants!
I bought these pants for my husband to wear with a sport coat to an outdoor July wedding and they were perfect - light, cool & dressy! Thanks, L.E.!!

Years of buying pants that offer a partial fit....no longer! By far the best fitting Men's dress pant, with a modern cut.

The pants fits well and good for summer wear
Color is good and the cutting fits perfectly. Wish the material could be a little heavy.

Nice pants with comfort waist, but poor quality seams
I ordered three pairs of these pants over three months last fall - one each in black, light charcoal and navy. I fluctuate a lot between a 34" and a 36" waistline, so the 35" comfort waist was a perfect product for me. I wore the black ones the most during the fall and winter, and they were the first ones to split the seam in the seat after about six months of wearing them 2 - 3 times per week. I was able to do a home repair that has held for the past three months but started rotating to the other colors more often. The light grey pair were the next to split in the same location. I have always had a relatively small, flat backside, so it's not the case that I am filling them out or that they are too tight and I am putting undue strain on them. They simply have poor quality stitching in the seat. I have had that pair sitting in my closet waiting for a trip to the tailor for the past month, so I am not getting any use out of them. This morning I discovered that the seam int he seat of the navy pair is also going. The hole (ripped out stitching) in the other two pair was over two inches long before I realized it was happening. The hole in the navy pair is only about an inch long, but I could clearly see the threads ripping out. I have had these pants for fewer than nine months. Although I really love the flexibility of the comfort waist, these are the most disappointing pants I've ever own in terms of quality, or lack thereof. Very disappointed and will be returning.
