Men's Plain Front Comfort Waist SmartLuxe Pants
Great fit and a quality product!
Pants were sized correctly according to the sale ad and did meet my expectations for material and color. Neat dress pant for casual wear with or without sportcoat for a dinner occasion.

Very tight and slim fitting Unlike other pants I've ordered from LE in same size
Fit is very slim and tight. Much tighter and slimmer than many other pants I've ordered from Lands End in same size. I would describe these as about one size smaller than actually advertised and labelled. Easily the worst fitting of any Lands End pants I have purchased. Would not recommend for this reason.

A good-looking pair of dress pants at a reasonable price.
I've bought three pairs. The fabric is light-weight, but has been comfortable over a range of temperatures. I have several pairs and several styles of Comfort Waist Lands End pants; I decided to go up a size (from 38 to 40) with these. These seem to be a "generous" 40; I've tried using suspenders to hold them up, but the waist band design makes this a bad choice. Tightening the belt an extra hole or two results in a scrunched (unflattering) waist profile. I would like additional color choices in olives and browns. I have not had the pants cleaned, but they seem to be holding their creases well.

Bad fit in crotch and seat. Waist was fine but expandable waist too loose and the black pocket liner shows when the pocket puckers and slides forward. Had my seamstress sew the waist band "fixed' in position at 36". Inferior tailoring . Better detail/fit in comparable price in other brands.

Was not comfortable across the seat and thighs

Quality is not what it once was
Maybe Lands End makes YearRounder Slacks in the craftsmanship of 5 years ago and older, but I consistently order what is listed as the wool Year Rounders of the past only to find the buttoned front flap is no longer present and all the pressure is on the metal clasp. The clasp then rips loose from the
fabric and the slacks are ruined. This last pair is the same way except now the wool has cheap polyester in it and it feels cheap. I opened them and in disgust I laid them down and now it is time to return them. I am now finished with Land's End and will go on the hunt for a replacement tailor.

Hem length longer than indicated
A good product overall but the rise on the pants is to low and the seat is to tight for the classis American male figure.

I have bought Lands End pants for over 10 years and these pants are not true too size. Much tighter than the same pants I bought a few years ago.
Pants not true to fit much smaller than previous pants ordered. Called customer service got the run-around about the issue. Seems that the pants extension is about 1.25 inched and not 2 inches as promised. Do not buy!!!!

One of the most comfortable pants that I have ever owned. The fabric is really nice and looks dressy. Love them.

A couple of items
1 - HORRIBLE FIT - For a "comfort" waist product not even close I am a true 34, but prefer a slightly larger slack.... ie a 34 comfort fit or a regular 35...... I ordered 2, 1 34 and 1 35 ( both comfort fit )...........they are both stupidly tight.... these where more of a TRIM CUT .... which is fine for date night..... but not very comfortable for sitting at a desk all day
2 - USELESS COMFORT FIT - Unlike the chinos, the pocket sides are WHITE.... If you expand the waist by even a 1/8 of an inch, you see WHITE ........ now if you don't having 2 tone pants these are perfect. But if you want a dress slack, to look, well dressy.... these are not for you.
3- COMFORT FIT IN GENERAL - I have enjoyed the comfort fit chinos for a long time.... they are great for golf, working in the yard, etc.etc...... but while I haven't changed in size, in fact I'm smaller than I use to be..... it seems like all the comfort fit products are getting shorted on material. Tighter in the seat, the crotch, etc.etc....... and they just don't drape the way they use to.
I've always liked lands ends for slacks, quick and easy.... and I prefer a flat front with a cuff.... so the hemming service and quick turnaround have been nice.
However I've pretty much given up on Lands end and will be going back to buying unhemmed product elsewhere and having my local tailor fit them up for me.
