Fits somewhat big and the sleeves are far too long. With the decorative strap on the sleeves stitched into the seam, it may be problematic to shorten the sleeves. Finally, the pockets sit far too low in the jacket and well below a reasonable location. First Land's End item I've had to return over design.

Great coat-- bought the wrong size and ordered the exchange 3 days before Christmas and it came the next day. I paid nothing for shipping. Outstanding. Right fit great gift, everyone in the family tried it on.
Fits big to fit over Blazers or bulky things. Size down if you don't need that.

Very impressed with the quality and fit. Being tall (6'3"), this coast fits perfectly and looks sharp. The herringbone deign adds to this classic look and the craftsmanship is truly outstanding.

Rated 4 out of 5 by JBNYC Overall happy with purchase. This is my 4th topcoat from Lands' End.
Nice styling, good quality construction for price. Sizing, cut and overall fit are too large, sleeves are too long and pockets are a bit low. I wear a 43/44 suit jacket but needed the M coat and it still fit evenly over my suit jacket! Wish the fit and cut were the same as the topcoat I purchased 7 years ago.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Exbubba Very good Coat for the money but sizing is uneven
I have been a lands end customer for over forty years and I believe their need to move manufacturing to China has resulted in reduction in quality of fabric, cut and sizing consistency issues. These facts, coupled with the company changing hands several times, has led to overall quality issues, as well as customer's concern that they are getting their money's worth. Wildlands and does have sales their retail pricing is consistent on the high side but the quality has gone down. Lands End should stick to what it does well and stay consistent. Additionally you will never please bargain hunters all the time but good product with mainline style will win out. There is no doubt that one can get more if one pays more but this company tries to give value for money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Kenny Great coat, with one caveat.
Love the coat, but wish the pockets were set a bit higher. Other than that, too many positives to list! (Note: Ignore the people who complain that the sleeves are too long - they're supposed to be long, to accommodate various arm lengths of customers of different sizes. The intelligent person understands that the coat will invariably needed to be tailored, at minimal cost.)

Rated 4 out of 5 by TokyoCraig Heavy duty warm commuter coat
I wear a business shirt 16/36 - This coat has a good length in the body sitting mid thigh. The shoulder sits exactly right. Arms are about 1 inch too long for me but this is offset by using the cuff button.
It is heavy duty for train or bus commuting and very warm. Not a fashion item.

Good fit with size 39. Handsome shape, warm enough in city. But brighter color than picture.

Rated 4 out of 5 by AnastasiaDev Nice in the pictures, but...
Something was a bit wrong with this jacket. My husband (5'10", 190#) loved it in the catalog, and we sprung for the grey herringbone color (size medium), even though it was extra. When we got it though, it didn't feel like he could fit a sport coat under it (which was the whole point), and the length was too long. He said the pockets seemed too low, and that the length was odd, not a short coat or a long one. Maybe it was made for a taller, skinnier guy. It was a really handsome coat though, and we returned it to try another.
