Men's 600-Fill Down Jacket
Coat is just what I wanted for my husband and fits perfect.
My husband is hard to fit and he has difficulty dressing. This coat is perfect - not too bulky but wonderfully warm. Will have to get one for me next season. Thanks Lands End.

Down right disappointing. Pun is intended.
Doesn't compare to my previous down jacket I bought from Lands End several years ago. Much less down filling, thin lining. Would be good for a cool, brisk morning--not winter.

Warm and light weight
Bought this for my 8th grader. He loves it. It fits well and does a good job keeping him warm. He likes having the interior pocket.

Very nice jacket for the price
Although this jacket is lightweight it will keep you warm in all but extreme cold weather temperatures. I purchased this jacket with the intentions of traveling north where the temperature would range from 15 to 32 degrees. While there I walked moderate distances in the cold and was always comfortable and never complained about the weather. However, I think the jacket lacks two key features-those features being Velcro closure cuffs and an inner draw cord at the bottom of the jacket. If those two features had been included this would be a five star jacket. But for the price...

Light Weight Jacket
True to size (3XLT), was expecting thick heavy jacket, it looks thick but is thin, no inner lining (like fleece) Shipping was fast, ordered on Friday and received Monday

A spring coat -- not for deep winter
I wanted this as a winter coat. The reviews were mixed but it was on sale and hope springs eternal so I ordered it. I really wanted to like it. The fit was perfect, and while other reveiwers complained it lacked a drawstring at the waist, it falls enough below my waist that the lower hem is a fairly snug fit and I don't think cold air blowing up from there would be a likely problem. It is also feather light, but of course, that's a two edged sword. It's light because there is hardly any insulation in it and the shell is slick, scratchy synthetic. the insulation is down so it does work -- for temperatures between 35 and 60 degrees it was fine. But it's what I would call a spring coat, not a winter coat. The temperature rating is a work of fiction. It is about as effective as the standard Squall (I already have one of those as my spring coat). But, it feels scratchy and uncomfortable at the neck because it doesn't have fleece in that position as the Squall does. My conclusion is Lands End offers much more suitable outerwear for the shoulder season. For deep winter I obviously didn't spend enough. this coat is false economy and I'm planning to return it.

First thing I have bought from Lands End that I didn't like, and I've bought hundreds of Lands End items that are perfect. This jacket has no baffle or flap behind the zipper, so the wind and cold come right in, negating the 600 fill. This would be a good jacket but for this fatal design flaw.

Frequent model changes
I tried on this jacket in-store, and it's quite different from the jacket I bought two years ago, which in turn was quite different than one I'd bought a couple of years before that; it seems Lands End's down jacket changes often. Compared to the one from two years ago, this is lacking the two-way zipper, contrast lining, adjustable cuffs, and overall more substantial feel. The current model also fits a bit looser: the older small is quite snug, but this small fits well.

This coat was paper thin. This coat is more for fall weather rather than Chicago winters.
My son usually wears a LT but when he tried it on, on top of a t-shirt, it was tight. Will not be buying this coat.

Not as nice as the last two down jackets I bought from Land's End
This jacket is okay, but not as substantial as the last two jackets I bought from Land's End. Nor does it have as many pockets, and the lining is cheap. If it gets very cold this winter, this won't be the coat I wear - just not up to Land's End standards.
