Men's Classic Marinac Jacket
Great product -- have three
I have been buying the Marinac jacket for several years and now have three different colors. I wear daily throughout the year in coastal California and is only jacket whether 30 or 60. It is well constructed and heavier weight than lower priced fleeces. I wear now instead of sport coat for most business occasions.

Love the jacket - great fit - great color
Fits really well with plenty of room for active wear. Nice and warm in cold, windy weather

The sleeves were very, very short!
The sleeves on this jacket were very short. My husband wanted the jacket because it was a great price. But as soon as he tried it on it was obvious that the sleeves were very short. My husband does not have super long arms!! I also have a jacket from Lands'End with super short sleeves. Unfortunately, I did not return it; I should have because it sits in my closet and I never wear it.

Great fit for different body types keeps both types warm
Despite reading how others complained that the sleeves are too tight-fitting, I decided to buy the Marinac because I was attracted to the concept of a fleece jacket with an inner membrane. For me, all-fleece jackets are too porous for adequate warmth when worn alone indoor - even 300-weight fabric - but shells (jackets that are just a membrane) do not have the casual comfort that we seek. After several washings and weeks of wear, our initial positive impressions of the Marinac remain. Regarding thermal regulation: All zipped up, it is warmer than any previous LE fleece jacket. If it gets too toasty, we just adjust the zipped length. Regarding the fit of the sleeves and the body: It suits my athletic build and my husband's much rounder build equally well. We appreciate the high collar and the low hem in holding in trapped warmth and keeping out the chill wind. Regarding build quality: The zippers and tailoring (chin guard et al) remind us of the quality from LE's past. We like our Marinac jackets so much that we returned our 300-weight fabric fleece jackets from a LE competitor. No, I am not a LE employee. I have been a customer for many years, however, and this jacket encourages me not to abandon the LE ship.

Nice jacket but sleeves were tight so was returned, wished it would have worked out.
Purchased for high school age son. Jacket looks very nice however the sleeves were a little tight and son did not like the elastic cuff.

nice warm like the pockets
Either these run a little large or I've lost a little weight I ordered a 4x and it was too big, ordered a 3x and it was just right. So glad I can return items to Sears made it easy. Thicker fleece than my Columbia better zippers more pockets a little longer. Perfect for NW weather

Fit is different from older versions
I second (or 3rd or 4th) the comments regarding tight sleeves. It appears I can only wear this with a short sleeve shirt underneath. Also compared to an older version I have, they decided to remove the chest pocket, maybe to reduce the cost. Oh well.. Materials and workmanship are still great.

I couldn't agree more with Trailhead Whitehead's review - he is right on the mark!:
"Can't figure out who modeled for the measurements of this jacket.(Despicable Me guy with stick arms and round body?) Sleeves are narrow and tight fitting while body is large. I have thin forearms and sleeves are tight on me.
Ackward...sleeves are tight and body is large. Either knock 4-6 off waste and make a sleek fitting jacket or widen the arms by 2-3 inches. My preference would be to knock 3 inches from body and add 1-2 inch to sleeves. No room in sleeves to wear with sweater, but without sweater body looks bulky with all the room."
You would have to have skinny arms and significantly bulging midsection to have this fit. But, if you do, it might really be a good choice for you. Hope this helps!

great alone or as underlayer
It's a great choice to wear alone in the moderate cold and as an underlayer in anything colder. It accomodates a wide spectrum of temperature being good when not sure of the conditions outside.
The fit is on the big side, though expected as an outerlayer would be. Includes a little stretch so it doesn't bind or restrict. It's well made inside and out.
