Girls' Waterproof Squall Parka
This jacket is perfect for the winter months in the Northeast.
I bought 3 of these coats for my triplet granddaughters. They each were able to get their favorite color and are very happy with the coat. The fit is just right. The jacket is made of a very sturdy material. The girls love the sleeve-cuffs and the EZ zip tabs. The coat is an all-around winner with the girls.

This coat arrived in perfect time for the big snow and extremely low temperatures. My granddaughter said it really kept her warm and it truly is waterproof. She stayed warm and dry and has gotten compliments on the coat as well. I will definitely order this coat again in the future when she outgrows this one! I highly recommend this coat - it's very warm yet not a bulky coat at all.

Our 3rd Squall Parka!!
This is the 3rd squall parka for our family. The first two have worn VERY well. We have gotten 2-3 years of wear from each one.

Jury is still out, but better than retail stores
I bought the size 5-6 Little Girls Waterproof Squall Jacket for my granddaughter two years ago--and she wore it for two winters. The grow-a-long sleeves feature is a super one. This month I bought the Size Small 7-8 Girls Waterproof Parka--for an outstanding sale price, I might add. What she loves about it: the vibrant fuschia color, the SnowGuard cuffs with thumb holes that still allow for gloves, the front double pockets and the small chest pocket for "secret stuff", and the easy zipper. What the grown-ups like: the longer length of the parka for waiting on the school bus and sitting on cold seats, the the warm fleece upper lining with quilted bottom section that allows easy movement, the adjustable fleece-lined hood, and the quality of the waterproof fabric. The parka has so far, in this frigid Pennsylvania February, proven to be warm enough for below 20 degrees, and allows for layering with the fleece vests and sweatshirts for added warmth. However, I have a few main disappointments that caused the 4-star rating over the perfect 5. Biggest surprise: The reflective piping that was a safety feature we loved in the older jacket is gone and replaced by a miniature lighthouse decoration on one sleeve. I highly recommend restoring the front and back reflective features in some way. Sadly, the interior top pocket is gone, but was a good spot for small personal items. The most important problem I see is also starting to bother my granddaughter: the change to all Velcro fastenings along the zipper--no snaps anymore--catches not only knitted gloves and extra scarves but also catches and knots her long hair. If we fasten the Velcro high up near the neckline, she is uncomfortable. The unfastened Velcro holds so tightly to her braids and ponytails that she loses strands of hair with every wearing. Question: Is there any easy fix you could suggest for covering that Velcro, especially the neck strip? Please continue to offer these wonderful winter coats, but consider restoring the missing features before next season.

We love the one she has so much, I bought this for next year.
This was purchased for my four year old granddaughter. Hopefully it will fit next year. We love the one she has. The quality is excellent. The hood fits well and stays up, the hand warmers are great, the fabric is lovely and it is a warm coat. I did notice there is no reflective triangle on the back of this new one.

This parka is amazing, very happy!
This parka is amazing. It fits great and keeps my daughter warm and dry in the snow. She loves the built in thumb holes. She loves to play in the snow as much as her Mother will let her. I let her stay out longer knowing she comes inside dry and toasty. She also has the matching snow pants and I highly recommend them also. GREAT COMBO!

Jacket for my granddaughter
I love the squall jackets and ordered one for my 6-year-old granddaughter. She absolutely loves it but I'm sure she won't wear it another season. She normally wears a size 6 so I was sure a 7/8 would get her through next winter but it won't. A size larger would drown her. I should've returned it but she needed a warm coat right away and the stores have nothing suitable (our local Sears stopped selling the Lands End clothing line). Live and learn...

The picture is purple. The actual jacket is maroon! My granddaughter was disappointed!
I bought it for my granddaughter only because it was purple. She had a meltdown when it was delivered. It is obviously maroon. I would not have purchased it.

My kid loves it!
I chose the pink one. My 4.5 years old daughter loves it and feels comfy and warm. Now she wears it to preschool everyday(snowy day, rainy day, windy day...). In addition, I love the design that the hat and the sleeves can be adjusted to fit her fast growing. I even hope they have my size!
