I really like these bottoms! I must say these bottoms are great! They cover and don't sag. My 9 year old daughter is 54", weighs 60 lbs., and wears 8S. June 17, 2013
fit my daughter fine I was a little worried about the front coverage of this bottom after reading some other reviews. My daughter is turning 8 this summer and is slender, about 4'3" and about 55# weight. These bottoms in an 8 fit her fine; I ordered a tankini top in an 8 slim and it also fits very well. This color matches the teal and purple tank top better than the swim shorts, which are a lighter purple as well as being quite baggy on her. June 11, 2013
Don't bother buying...wish I hadn't I read all of the negative reviews and thought if I bought it big enough, it would cover everything it needed to. My daughter usually wears a size up anyway in LE suits, so I thought it could work for us. WRONG. It looked fine while she was standing up, but her privates were showing anytime she sat down...it simply does not cover what it needs to! I bought the bottom in an 8 and compared it to her size 6 bottom from last year. The fabric in the crotch area is significantly narrower in the size 8 bottom, and it's two sizes larger! I am so disappointed in LE these days...the quality is very hit and miss and I find myself returning items at Sears much more often than I should. June 9, 2013
skimpy cut I really think that Lands End is cutting back on quality. This suit bottom was cut so narrow in the crotch that we had to return. I hope Lands End chooses to up their quality again. Stop cutting corners and go back to better quality suits. June 9, 2013
Not enough coverage in the NEEDED area Odd. Coverage of this bottom is very inadequate in the crotch area. Overall fit is true to size except in the area needed most. So disappointing for Lands end. June 1, 2013
Order small I had the same problem of over exposed crotch but when trying a much smaller size, the coverage was better. The top can be ordered in a bigger size to cover the belly. Now that there is a good sale, it's worth trying these bottoms. Side ruffle bottoms cover well. May 28, 2013
needs lining we have ordered swimsuits from Lands End in the past and loved them. They fit great and last all season but we got in our pool for the 1st time today and when she got out you could see through the bottoms!!! Hope we can send these back!!! May 25, 2013
Crotch is Ridiculously Narrow Lands End! Wake up! The crotch on these swim bottoms is inappropriately narrow. Where is the quality control? You can SEE that there is a problem before they are even tried on. I am very disappointed in this oversight, lack of attention to quality and wearability, and the never ending corner-cutting by Lands End. You aren't what you used to be. It will only take one company to step up to Lands End's former quality and you will loose all of your customer base. I would hate to see that happen. Wake up! May 25, 2013
Perfect fit and color Loved how these fit and covered well. May 11, 2013
way too skimpy in the crotch I rated this an "average" fit because it was actually too big, but the crotch area was way too narrow. There's definitely not enough material to cover that area. My daughter is big for her age, and friends referred me to Land's End because I have trouble finding suits that cover her rear. It does have plenty of room in the rear (so I gave it a "fair" rating because of that), but why the narrow crotch? I've never had a problem with that, even with cheap suits. April 30, 2013
