Girls' Short Sleeve Woven Twirl Dress
twirling 2 yr old
I am a nanny and gave this to my charge for her 2nd birthday. She absolutely LOVES this dress. She calls it her twirl dress. Quality is excellent, true to size and is an adorable dress. I plan on ordering another one for my 10yr old niece. Thanks LE!!

I bought this dress in the pink floral for my granddaughter, who is eight, for Easter. It arrived the week before the holiday. My daughter-in-law said she tried it on every day before Easter because she loved it so much. Of course she looked beautiful in it too!

Nice Easter dress
My daughter loves this dress. She is a tall 10 yr old, and size 10 fit her perfectly. Comfortable, nice colors and upper half of dress is lined, which is nice.

My granddaughter loved the dress.
My one complaint is that the button and the button hole in the back is too small. Takes a long time to put the button in the buttonhole.

Looked nice-but not quite right for my 12year-old
My daughter picked this dress out online to wear for a church event. When she tried it on, the skirt was quite long. I appreciate that Lands' End makes skirts that aren't so short, but in this case it made the dress look too big for her although it was the right size. She is 5' tall/ 85 lbs and we tried a 12 and 14. The 14 was way too big, but the 12 wasn't quite right either. The dress was cute & well-made but may work better on a younger girl who likes a little-girl look.

seemed a bit small
She wore it over a long sleeve shirt but it seemed a bit snug especially since she wears a 3T and this was a 4T

Pros and cons
I bought this in two colors for my 10 year daughter- the pink floral and the indigo paisley- and wound up returning both. The dresses were not bad, but the cons outweighed the pros for us. Here is our list:
1. The blue indigo fabric is beautiful; we both liked it.
2. The dress is very modest and a good length (below the knee for my daughter)
3. The dress runs big, so there was no trouble with the dress not fitting.
1. The fabric feels very stiff and wrinkles extremely easily. The ones we ordered came out of the bag looking crazy wrinkled- the blue fabric camouflaged this fairly well. The pink, though, did not. It looked like a wreck.
2. We both felt the pink floral fabric was very wall-paperish looking. It did not really look or feel like dress material
3. The style of the dress, while modest and with a fun skirt for twirling, seemed somehow better for younger girls. I think this dress would look adorable on a 2 year old, or 4 or even 6 year old.
However, I do think older girls (10 and up) need something a little more young-ladyish and elegant.
I don't think that a one-style-fits all ages dress for girls really works.
I really do wish Lands End would make a few styles for older girls... I can't really see a 16 year old girl wanting to wear this style at all. It was a stretch for my 10 year old. I could tell she felt a bit dowdy in it.

Beautiful dress but size down
I purchased this dress for my 10 year old daughter. She typically wears a 10 in a dress but this dress was way too big. I definitely think an 8 or even a smaller size would have been better. It is a beautiful dress so we are keeping it until she can fit in it. Note, the dress looks slightly off-white on top but it is very cream in color.

Great twirl dress
I bought this for my daughter who I have a hard time finding dresses that fit her right. The tops on most dresses are too tight on her, but this one fits her perfectly! I like that it has sleeves that aren't too tight on her. I usually have to worry whether the sleeves are going to be too tight because she has bigger arms than most girls, but not on this dress. I love the fabric! It is not too thin, and it feels so soft. It washes really well, too.
