Girls' Short Sleeve Full Gathered Woven Dress
Daughters love this dress, mom does too
This is such a cute dress, and my daughters LOVE how the skirt 'twirls'. It is also flattering on different body shapes. The size 7 fits my 7 yo well even though she is a bit big in the butt and hips, and my 4yo is wearing a 5 even though it is too big (her choice, I bought it for next year :)), and it still looks great. I machine wash and hangar-dry all of their dresses, and this one wears fine right off the hangar. My daughters wear them to school but this dress could easily be dressed up for a more formal occasion. Now that they're on clearance I'm going to pick up a few more. If your daughter hates pants like my girly-girls do, she'll love this dress.

Cute, Modest Take on a Classic Style
Such a cute, lovely dress! My youngest daughter has two of these dresses - in different prints - in her closet, along with several other dresses from various sources. Of ALL the dresses in her closet, her twirly dresses get the highest rotation. (It's really too bad there's not a video showing what a 360 degree spin in this dress will do. Fun!) The PRINT dresses launder quite well. If I'm on top of my game and pull them right out of the dryer, they don't need much (if any) ironing. If I KNOW i won't be catching the dryer (say, it's 11pm,) I just pull the dress out, shake it and put it on a hanger. Either way it ends up about the same. We have had these for a year or two, (two different sizes now) and they have held up very, very well. No shrinking or fading, even with regular use.
I saw the pink stripe on clearance locally at a Lands End store - and ended up buying 2 matching dresses for my nieces...because they saw my daughter's dress and "just loved how it spins!" With the woven texture of the fabric, I don't think an iron would even be needed.
The cut of this dress has been done well. Not too tight across the neck when the button is done, the cap sleeves don't bind, and the waist is flattering enough so that when the self-tie belt can't be found, it still looks good. (Yes, the small belt loops are there, but not a big deal if you can't find it for that wearing.) The hem, a couple of inches below the knee, is proportionate to the rest of the dress, so it doesn't look dowdy. It really is a fresh take on an old classic. While we still keep our free-wheelin' cartwheelin' girls in shorts under their dresses, by far and away, this is the cutest, most modest dress in town. And every catalog we check to see if there is a new print coming out...(Not that she needs one, but she could have a growth spurt at any time!)
Keep Spreading the Love, Lands End. Let the example of your cute, modest swimsuits shine even farther than these darling dresses!

Great teacher dress.
I am 5" 5" and 120 pounds. I am a teacher and got this dress in the midnight navy print after my sister bought it. I absolutely love it. It actually hits about 2 inches below my knee, but could be easily hemmed. I also bought this in the light indigo blue floral. My only complaint it the button hook is too tight in the back, it is impossible to button without resewing the material that holds the button. That's the reason for 4 and not 5 stars.

Modest, fun and great quality!
My daughter has two if these dresses in different prints. I buy her these as her Easter dresses so she can wear them all year instead of wasting money on one scratchy uncomfortable dress that she will wear once. She wears a pair of capris under them because at five years old modesty is important. They fit true to size and are so comfortable she says. Highly recommend. Am buying a new one each spring!
