I bought 2 of these for twin beds in the guest room. The medium blue is great and the blanket itself is light, so soft, and just right for SoCal's 3 chilly seasons. Great price and quality, nicely hemmed. Highly recommended.

I am returning this blanket. I so wanted to like it. It is warm and fuzzy (too fuzzy as it pills all over). Also, I got ready to put in on my bed for the first time this fall and found a whole in it! I only washed it once and set it aside for fall. I am taking this back to Sears.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Sharibaby Need a lighter version
I have bought three (3) of these blankets - I love them - in the late fall, winter and early spring. When the weather warms up however they are just a little too warm for use in the south. I am 65 and keep my home at about 76-78 degrees in the summer because I tend to be cool unless I am cleaning the house. I would love it if you would offer this blanket in a slightly lighter version. I compare this blanket to the old Thermacheck 200 and am looking for a '100' version. This blanket washes beautifully.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ottawaperson apartment blanket in winter
This is a lightweight but very warm blanket. I live in an apartment and most comforters are way too hot except when it is extremely cold outside. I use this by itself or with a cotton quilt and it is very comfortable in an apartment (heat rises, and comes via neighbouring units plus building has baseline heat when heat is on). I don't put my own unit's heat on since it is too warm; the unit is about 68 degrees without my own unit's heat being on in the winter. Good choice for middle aged women and a great mother's day gift (hint, hint, sons, daughters and husbands). For a middle aged couple that has different heat needs this could be purchased in a twin for mom/wife. A husband could have his own twin comforter if he needed extra warmth. Marital bliss and no fights. I got the capuccino which is true to the shade on the web. I can see this being a great blanket for camping, the cottage, college students, etc. It may also be useful for the home theatre while watching movies, going to sporting games, for the car, etc.

Rated 5 out of 5 by notafan22 Lightweight and perfectly warm!!
Just received the ThermaCheck blanket and am extremely happy with this purchase. The fleece is very lightweight, but it keeps me as warm as a heavy comforter during the cold New England winter. Big plus: it washes and dries beautifully (no lint, no fuzz) unlike some of the other velour / velvet blankets out there.

I love this blanket! We like our bed coverings to be lightweight but warm, and this blanket with a quilt has been just the ticket. We got the full/queen, and the sizing has been true. I already purchased another! Enjoy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Srpiccollo So warm!
This felt very thin when I got it but figured we will keep t around just in case. Well less than a week later we lost power so we had no water or heat too. My husband used this while laying on the couch when our house was 40 degrees. He said it kept him so warm he didnt even need another blanket.
I am so impressed I think I will order a few more to toss in our cars in case of a ER. You never know with our kind of weather.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DASG Excellent value- warm, easy care!
I am having more difficulties as I get older, trying to wash/dry all my big poofy comforters. Shoving them into the washing machine, then yanking them in & out of the dryer till all the spots are dried- just too much. In addition, I use comforters year-round- with central air it gets chilly, windows are open during the spring & fall, winter we keep the heat down at night. I bought a couple of inexpensive fleece blankets, but they had a bit too much of a 'plastic' feel. So- I decided to give these a try. I bought several- the full/queen is a true 'queen', so they really give my husband his half of the blanket! Also- we don't use top sheets because we like our toes to be free. So the blanket had to be moveable, and feel good on the skin. These do the job! They're very easy to wash, dry, fold, store. On nights slightly colder [in southern New England], I discovered a neat trick: take one of the unused top sheets I have hanging around, and simply put it over the blanket. This keeps the heat in & we are warmer! They say to always layer, and this is a much more efficient method than struggling with gigantic comforters we can no longer manage with arthritis, stairs, etc. Ordering another one, today, as they are on sale. Hmmmmm.... wondering if during the most frigid weather I can just layer on a 2nd blanket? BTW- I always sleep in the Land's End Women's mid-calf, short sleeve nightgown.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Monique2 This is the perfect blanket for the in-between seasons.
I got a king size and it is just right for us. We live in New England so it gets really chilly in the fall, winter and spring. We take it off only in the summer. It's light-weight but warm. Our cats love it too... but we can easily remove any fur. No wrinkling, it stretches a little and keeps us toasty. Am ordering a couple of twin ones for the kids too now.
