Like other reviewers said, it is noisy. It crackles. I bought it in a Full/Queen approx 3 years ago, and used it only a few times. My husband hated it because it was too warm for him. I liked it because it is NOT thick and bulky. In Southern California, fall, winter & spring night-time temps can be in the 50s, and with the window open, we need more than a blanket.
I was actually looking for a nice Down "THROW" that is at least 56"W x 70"L. I bought 2 of them approx 8 yrs ago from a big box warehouse store, and they are machine washable and perfect for our needs. I use it on my side of the bed, but if my husband gets too cold, and pulls it over on him, I still have enough to keep me warm. Are you listening Lands End?? A nice fluffy high quality Down "Throw" that is at least 56"W x 70"L, and machine washable, would be wonderful. Or something like the individual comforters in hotels in Europe. Sometimes I see throws for sale, but they are only 60"Long. How about raising the price a few dollars, rather than cutting down on the size? I'm 5'9" and my husband is 6-feet tall; a 60" long throw isn't long enough!!
I was considering a LE Essential Down comforter in a Twin size. But that is just a little too big, and I don't want another $100+ comforter sitting in a closet not being used.

Rated 1 out of 5 by KateMJ I molt every morning.
I bought this blanket a while ago, and it looked so nice. I loved how it was quilted so the feathers didn't shift everywhere. It isn't very heavy, but still fairly warm. The big problem is the feathers are everywhere. EVERYWHERE. Every morning I'm picking feathery fuzz out of my hair, off my clothes, and instead of dust bunnies in my room, I have feather bunnies. While they sound cute, I assure you they are not. I have also noted that the very edge all around the blanket has frayed. I might accept the fraying in one spot, but I find it odd that it has frayed all the way around. I don't know what to attribute this to except poor quality material as I've been nice to it and haven't washed it very often. The fabric has not performed like you would expect from Land's End. I am thankful for the Land's End guarantee because I'm going to be sending this one back. I've had good experiences with Land's End clothing, but my bedding purchases have not been positive. If you're looking for a down blanket, I'd advise you to look elsewhere.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Lastreview this blanket is noisy
the blanket is very crinkly. Every time you move it rustles noisily. If you have a spouse with restless leg syndrome, or just tosses and turns alot, It can be very annoying. It is not warm enough to be used alone for the winter. I am still searching for a warm and soft down blanket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by NetteNette Soft, light and cozy
We've been using the blanket for several months now and haven't seen a stray feather yet. I'm surprised that others have had a different experience. It has a soft, cozy cotton covering, and not a stiff, crinkly one like other down and fiberfill blankets I've had. The sycamore color is a nice warm tan that looks good with my decor. It's a perfect three season blanket for our SE Pennsylvania home, and may work in winter with an added cover.

I spent a week looking like a chicken with all the feathers that floated around my place and attached themselves to my clothes. I assumed that Land's End would have fixed the problem as I can see that many past reviewers have flagged the issue, so very concerned by an apparent downslide in quality and responsivness. Will think twice before ordering from Land's End again - and I've been a customer for 15 years or so.

I really wanted to like this blanket and in fact the design and size (King) were good. However, we only kept it for less than two weeks because feathers were starting to "leak," and although it was on sale it was still alot of money and considering the quality, not worth it. Back it went!

I bought a king sized blanket for my queen sized bed and it covers it like a bedspread, can even tuck the pillows in. It is beautiful! My bed looks neat and tidy. I purchased a yellow and a blue one when they were on clearence with an additional percentage off and I couldn't be happier. First, the yellow had to be washed almost immediately because it got it dirty (spilled coffee) and I must say it came out just as beautiful as when I opened the package. Yes, the fabric is a little crinkly but not so much that it disturbes me, it just sounds crisp and new, and doesn't bother my sleep. The weight is phenominal! Just right and warm without being suffocatingly warm and heavy. I use it alone over my top sheet and it doesn't need additional help keeping us warm, even with my cold feet. Our Virginia nights can frequently get below freezing, too. The fabric feels a little brushed and I occasionally have seen fine, fine downlike lint, but not on our clothes. I love this blanket so much ( I have 2 mind you) that I'm ordering 2 more colors at just percentage off price. I used my front load washer and have washed and dried the yellow one (my fav) twice in 3 months, it still is beautiful. Buy a king for your queen, the size is perfect! I am well pleased with my purchase. Thanks Land's End.

I'm back to buy a second one of these. I am surprised to see some reviews bemoaning feather loss. Virtually none from ours - its been fabulous. Could it be washing method?
My sweetie and I are on our second winter with this blanket and we love it. Our house is set at 57 degrees at night but find full down quilts are just too hot for us. We combine this down blanket with LE's cotton velour blanket topped by a silk/cotton quilt for a perfectly adjustable and breathable winter bed. I'm now getting another one and the 2 control electric blanket for my folks who need more warmth but can no longer tolerate much weight on their feet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DeliaB Perfect for our mild winters
I bought this several years ago when it was offered only in white and ivory. I got the white and have washed it several times with excellent results. We have had no problems with stray feathers. It doesn't get very cold in South Texas, but when it does, I use a cotton blanket over it, and it's perfect for us. We keep the temperature at 66 degrees at night and have two fans running constantly in that room.

FYI for those complaining about the pin feathers coming through....the thread count on this blanket is only 230(which means 230 threads per inch). A larger thread count would provide a tighter weave with no "leaking". Hopefully this helps others make the right decision (I.e. Go for the better blanket!)
