Chevron Cotton Blanket
Great blanket for the price ... AND free of many harmful substances
I bought 2 of these blankets for my kids' beds and am buying a third for myself. Yes, they do "shed" in the dryer, but I really don't find that to be much of a hassle. I just clean the lint screen during the drying time. No big deal. So happy to be able to buy a blanket that is free of a lot of "junky substances", while shopping for the kids' clothes! Thanks Lands End!

Lint, lint, lint.
I ordered this blanket despite several reviews describing terrible lint and am disappointed to find out that they were right. I have washed and dried it twice hoping to make it work but the lint just keeps coming. I was stunned to see the amount of lint left in my dryer filter! I don't like to give poor reviews but this one can't be helped and I am returning the blanket.

Thin, more like a sheet.
This is a think blanket, more like a sheet. It might be o.k. for a hot summer's night, but I was looking for a good warm blanket for winter ... and this probably won't do the job.

A Great Blanket–At an Unbelievably Fair Price!
This Chevron Cotton Blanket is slightly lighter in weight than the supima blanket (see also my review of that product). It is generous, warm, and perfect for dozing on the couch or wrapping-up to watch a movie. It is less delicate than the supima blanket (which can snag). The price of this blanket is also substantially less than that of the supima. Great for a college dorm or a light addition to your favorite fall and winter bedding (or also to give as a classy wedding gift). The lint issue that other folks seem to have has never been a problem for me. I always wash each new blanket when it arrives (short cycle, cold wash and rinse, Tide or Cheer detergent, no fabric softener (but I do use a Downy dryer sheet in the dryer). There's tons of lint in the filter, but this diminishes with each wash and the blanket still comes out full, sturdy, and warm after multiple washings/dryings. I have lots of home textiles that leave massive amounts of lint in the filter after drying and I have a small vacuum that I use to clean the filter when laundering these items. This seems to happen more with high quality cotton textiles and never lessens the quality or life of the item (some sheets and towels are five or six years old with countless washings). I'm actually about to buy another one of these blankets. The very fair price, when combined with a 25% off special from Lands' End (with free shipping), makes it a bargain that is almost impossible to beat.

The lint reports are all too true
I've liked Lands' End blankets in the past, so I took a chance and hoped that the reports of lint had led the company to correct the problem. Now I feel foolish, because I popped my blanket into the washer, and when I pulled it out, I was greeted with a flurry of blue lint. It's like I washed the blanket with a handful of tissues, and they disintegrated into those icky bits all over the inside of the washer. I'm hoping a wash cycle or two will take care of it, but based on the other reviews, that's probably not going to happen.
Come on, Lands' End, you're slipping! Don't you know how important a reputation is?
I rated it 3 boats because it looks nice and I'm hoping it's OK in the long run. It probably deserves 2.

These blankets are soft and warm!
I bought two of these blankets, one in the soft moss green and one in the tan color. The tan color one is actually a lot lighter--more like a soft cream. And both colors are beautiful! I noticed all the comments about lint when drying these blankets--I washed mine and found a funny thing. The green one had almost no lint in the trap, but the cream colored one shed a ton of lint. I didn't really care about the lint, I just cleaned the lint trap 3 times during the drying and it was fine. Both blankets look the same after laundering, and I'm looking forward to using them. But if you don't want lint, go for the green and not the cream color.

just received it today and love it
I ordered the chevron cotton blanket in driftwood tan for my son's full-size bed. I am happy to say that it is exactly what I was searching for. The color is perfect, I am so glad that it is much lighter than pictured on my computer screen (it's more like an oatmeal color in person) I was a little worried that it'd be too "tan"-- I am also very happy with the size, being a true "full" rather than the usual combination full/queen that are always way too wide for a full size bed. Next, I will research full-sized quilts , but will wait for a discount, as the Land's End prices are on the high side, but yes, very good quality. Oh, one more thing, I did wash the blanket before laying it on his bed, and there was tons of lint in the dryer, but thanks to the warnings from other reviews, I knew to check it half way through the drying process. I cleaned it all out at that point and then finished drying. When it was completely dry, there was only the usual amount of lint accumulated in the filter. No problem at all.

Thought I'd love this blanket; it does look beautiful when new & just the right weight for warm weather. But the constant lint everywhere is driving me insane. Every morning I have to clean the lint off the bedspread & pillows, vacuum it off the carpet. I've washed it several times, each time having to clean the lint trap mid-drying. Each time I change the bed (without washing the blanket) I throw the blanket in the dryer to get rid of the loose lint. The lint trap is overflowing each time.
Way too much work.

Have had this blanket for several months, feel I have to review to warn
I wanted to love this blanket. It's sturdy, doesn't snag even when my dog is on our bed, it's attractive and seems to be well made....until you try to dry it in the dryer. I've washed it probably 7 or 8 times now, and each and every time, the lint that sheds off of this blanket is amazing, in a bad way. My entire laundry room floor is full of tiny lint balls, my lint screen needs to be cleared about every 10 minutes, and this blanket takes forever to dry, so you have to clear the lint trap about 10 times per drying session. I keep thinking maybe the next time I wash and dry it, it will be better than the last time, but there has been no improvement. I shudder to think what this thing is leaving behind in the dryer exhaust tubing. If I had known how incredible (again, in a bad way) the shedding would be from this blanket, I'd have skipped it for sure. It's crazy.

Lots of lint in the dryer
I do like this blanket and my yes for recommending is tentative. I've washed this blanket 3 times and each time my dryer lint catcher is overflowing. Someday I expect to open the dryer and the blanket will have disappeared. Nice and toasty on the bed but not the usual quality I've come to expect from Land's End.
