Women's Super Lightweight Funnelneck
Fine and silky
This knit top is very fine and soft, with a slight sheen, lovely flat finished seams and just wonderful under
tunics, cardigans etc. I have many of them, in crew neck, funnel neck and turtle neck. Superb value.

Best layering top
I love thin tops for layering under regular and cardigan sweaters and tunics and such. It is also flatering enough to wear on its own as the model is doing here. This is a nice light fabric with some nice stretch. I wear the S ( I wear an XS in LE). It launders/dries well. What I love in particular is that the neck is not fitted like a turtle neck, rather it is a looser cut. I bought several of these in 2010-2011, and bought some more in 2011-2012 season. I just love it, and have it in several colors.

Nice top, low quality
I buy from Lands' End because they sell quality clothes. This top has not even lasted 2 years. I have similar tops which I purchased from them 10+ years ago that still look new. This shirt has little holes in it now. I'm sure this is due to the thin nature of the material. I have enjoyed wearing this shirt & liked it for layering, but am disappointed it didn't last better. If you like your clothes to last...pass this one up.

Dressed Up Turtleneck
The fabric gives this a dressed up feel, its gorgeous! I ordered an XS pewter gray. I do agree that the neck is a little tight, I just pulled gently on it and it stretched to be comfortable. I would no go up another size though, since it fits perfectly everywhere else. The color is classic.

Not LE standard quality Modal Top
I have LE modal tops in nearly every style because they normally look and feel great. However this turtleneck is the exception. It (S) black, fits like a cheap sack, (I normally wear size s, 6, 34", 5'5" 115, 50) way too big around, sleeves way too long, which would be okey if the sleeve diameter wasn't so large, and even flares so that the sleeves slide down over my hands. It has cheap stitching, just looks sloppy! I don't normally send things back due to the hasle, but this is going back.

Neck to tight, sent back.
The fit everywhere except the neck was great. The fabric was soft & warm. I had to send it back because every time I swallowed I could feel the turtle neck squeeze my throat. to bad.

WORTH THE HEAD SQUEEZE
As with another Reviewer, I found it difficult to get the neck over my head, but, once done, the turtleneck was high and did not fall/stretch out which I liked ! The overall fit was appropriate for the size I ordered and worked well on my body. The lightness of the fabric was wonderful - it can be worn all year around, with or without a cover. The problem now is to get different colours.....I haven't washed mine yet, so I can not speak to durability yet.

hard to get over head
I found getting this over my head difficult...the body is somewhat baggy...my friend described it like a parachute...arms are tight...so sad as I really wanted an nice white turtleneck to go with the other items I bought...also felt the stitching around the neck was scratching..returned it !

Great layering piece
I'm 5'4", 130lbs, 37.5(32DD)x26x38. LEC size XS/S/4/6.
I have several of these tops in an XS. They fit very well, body skimming, not body binding.
I think they're wonderful for layering in fall and winter because they are thin and low bulk. I prefer to wear three thin layers as opposed to one or two bulky ones. These are also lovely on their own.
The funnelneck is not tight, but rather lays away from the throat. I like this, traditional turtlenecks make me feel claustrophobic.
The material is nice. Soft and silky, good hand feel. Though I would prefer an all cotton shirt, whatever rayon modal LEC uses is quite nice. These wash well with no fading, stretching, or shrinking (gentle, cold, line dry).
Snap them up, they're a good staple at a decent (sale) price.
