Canvas Tote Pet Carrier
Great for City Living
This bag is excellent for my 14lb (and long) YorkiePoo. We use it when running errands, so that he can walk with us, and hop in the bag when we go in stores. Winston likes it because he can pop his head out, and I like the convenience of it! The monogramming is a plus.
I do second another commenter- would love to have darker colors as an option. And I'd like another pocket or two.

Cute, easy-to-carry, puppy loves it!
So happy with this bag! The small is still a bit roomy for my tiny 3lb poodle/pomeranian, but she can still reach her head up through the cutout. I think she is going to grow into it perfectly when she is a full grown 6lbs. I do think this could accommodate a dog up to about 10lbs. It's so easy to carry on the subway and I get tons of compliments. I put a small Sherpa liner in the bottom to make it cozier - she loves it so much she sleeps in it at home!

I have a 22 pound terrier who is getting old. I live on the third floor and he cannot go down the stairs without hurting himself. This bag is solid, sturdy and rigid. I can pop him in and taxi him down. However it would not be practical for long walks because he is too big and heavy. I am 5 feet tall and it is just too cumbersome for me.

Needs an additional element
This product is a great idea!
My biggest issue with it was that one of the straps kept slipping off my shoulder. It needs one of those Velcro tabs that hold the straps together, like on the dog carrier duffle..
Since it's not meant to be thrown in the washer and dryer, perhaps offering it in colors that don't show the dirt as easily.
Unfortunately, the one I purchased had a defective zipper that wouldn't lock. My dog simply stood up and the zipper opened. :-(.
I would definitely recommend this to owners of smaller dogs (mine was about 12.5 pounds, which might be why it was hard to keep both straps on my shoulder, despite the fact that he had plenty of room.)

Amazing dog bag!
I needed a bag for my 15lb. chihuahua to travel with all summer (taking on trains, subways, shuttle buses and ferries). Something that wouldnt make her hot in the summer time. This bag is sturdy and comfortable for both you and your pup, (it fits perfectly on your shoulder). The flat base makes it comfortable for your dog to stand, sit or lay down. My dog and I are obcessed with it and the embrodiered name has a personal touch which is great.
Because I needed the bag for the summer I could only chose from 3 colors, and I chose the green. Now seeing pink, and the pink and white polka dot dog accessories I hope they start to release more colors. I would definately buy another bag in the pink and white polka dots!

My purse pooch is about 9 lbs. It's a little roomy for him but it allows me to stash other items in with him. Like all Lands' End Canvas items it is well made. The only thing I wish it had was a latch on the zipper. Sometimes he gets excited and is able to push the zipper open...

Well made, sturdy and just the right size for my mixed breed small dog. I like the removable bottom that is easy for cleaning. I would like to suggest possibly an addition of a pocket on the outside for treats or leash.

Portable in the City
I love this bag for the ease of use it gives me in carrying my little pooch Gracie on the NYC Subway system. She's about 13 lbs, and long, and she fits into this bag quite nicely -- and it's sturdy and comfortable on my shoulder. The one comment for improvement would be the same as some of the others...I know it's modeled after the classic Land's End tote, however I wish there had been a different choice in colors - white? For a dog bag? Uh-yuh, yeye, Land's End - come up with next-generation new (darker) colors for city-living!

Great Idea; Lousy Design
After reading the reviews, I was very excited to receive this bag. I wanted to like it!
Our puppy is 7 lbs. and was swimming in this bag. This bag would probably be perfect for dogs 10-15 lbs. My biggest gripe was there is no place to store anything. If you are planning on toting your furry friend around, you'll need a place for a few basic essentials, right? (Keys, Wallet, Cellphone and Dog Treats).
This bag must have been designed by someone who does not have pets. I was also surprised it is only available in white canvas.
Sent it back. I just purchased a Tumi boarding tote that is well made and has tons of pockets for storage. 60% off, too! It works well as a pet carrier. I can take our pup into Target, Starbucks and other public places and it looks like I'm carrying a fashionable handbag.
If Lands' End redesigns this bag to include storage pockets they'll have a huge hit on their hands!

Got this for my Dachshund baby. The tote works perfectly for his size (14 in. from base to tail)! Bought it to replace a bulky carrier that added an additional 5lbs to carrying him. This has long straps and a front pocket where I can place my phone and wallet so I can travel light. My boyfriend has also commented on how much easier it is to carry him with this tote. However, I did find the padding it came with to be too light so I folded and inserted a slim crate mat to make it more comfortable for our dog. Overall, I'm glad I splurged!
