Canvas Duffel Pet Carrier
offer a larger size bag for medium dogs and add wheels
The current carrier's material is good and sturdy, but the size limits it to small toy sized dogs. A larger bag should be offered, but reconfigured with venting panels on the front and two added wheels and have a pull strap on the ends so that it could be used for a larger (medium size dog).

The best pet carrier I have seen in a very long time.
This is the very best pet carrier I have seen in a very long time. I take pet carriers very seriously because I travel very often and its important to have a comfortable carrier for my puppy and for myself. I really thought a lot of times before ordering this, because there was so many reviews about how uncomfortable it was and all. But since its on sale, I thought why not try. I am not just happy I did, I am so so happy that I did. Like I said, this is the best pet carrier I have seen in a very long time. Its so comfortable, for my puppy and for me. The quality is amazing, just great. I love how the material is, an amazing quality. Very durable. Also, the inside room is very nice, since the opening and closing has ventilations and while its safe and unnoticeable. While I'll be carrying my puppy inside, its very difficult to tell whats inside since it doesn't show much, but yet it has nice ventilations. Also, it looks like any other regular bags, so its unnoticeable. I really care for the privacy of my puppy and for her comfort, and this is truly the best carrier. I am so satisfied with this carrier and with my order. Thank you so much Lands End, I hope you wont quit making this kind of carriers. I'll order 1 more in my next order, if it will be still available. Great pet carrier, the quality and the comfort. Thank you.

Needs more ventilation and a softer (padded) bottom
I was happy to see this and the pet tote on Lands end. I appreciated the 2 types of straps (duffle/single strap, and dual shoulder straps with a tab to hold them together)
The fleece on the bottom is not enough for comfort - it needs padding or you have to add your own.
I didn't feel there was enough ventilation. Perhaps some side vents would be helpful.
Since it's not washable or dry-cleanable, perhaps it should be offered in colors that would not show the dirt as easily, such as navy, etc.
It's nice to be able to add the name of your pet!
A little more tweaking, please!

Great bag BUT
This bag is awesome and great quality! Please note the bag is not washable nor can it be dry cleaned (never seen a Pet Carrier that can't be cleaned) but the inside had a removable cloth covered bad and the cover can be washed . I had no problem getting my 8.4lbs puppy (Shih tzu/Terrier ) in it. My review would have been excellent is the shoulder straps were better positioned because my puppy isn't heavy heave the bad is very wobbly and unbalanced

Not bad for first try but it needs refinement. There are no horizontal stabilzers on the top to keep it square so the sides collapse in, especially if you put it over your shoulder and drape your arm over it. The solid piece in the bottom helps the bag retain it's shape but it's just a removable fleece 'envelope' over hard plastic; you still need a towel or blanket in the bottom to make it comfortable for your pet. Not enough ventilation: one edge and the top are mesh but that's it. I'd rather have mesh panels between the canvas straps on the sides instead of a pocket. This bag would make my Pug too hot so I returned it.

not as sturdy as I would think is necessary
Ok, it is definitely cute. However I think it is really odd (and needs to be changed going forward) that the monogram/name is on the left hand side. I would think that you would want to carry the dog with the mesh facing forward not backwards, so the dog can see where you are going and you can look down and see your dog while carrying the tote. But doing so completely obscures the monogram as it sits up against your right shoulder. I guess it wouldn't be as big a deal for left handed people. But for right handed, suggest you request monogram on the right side.
As far as sturdiness, I am concerned, but maybe it is because I am not familiar with soft pet carriers in general and they all do this...This is why I said not recommended. When the dog is in the carrier, and you pick it up, the top on both sides collapses in to itself greatly minimizing the room the dog has to move around. I think it would be fine on the ground when it is flat once you straightened out the top but as soon as you carry it, it folds up like a taco at the top. Maybe they all do this, not sure, but doesn't seem like it would be enjoyable. Not sure if I will keep it or not. I bought for airline travel, and it does seem exponentially more sturdy than many other carriers would be, simply from being canvas instead of nylon, but we'll see.
