Boys' Snow Pack Boots
The toe box is far too narrow.
I used to love these boots for my 12 year old son. We have been ordering a version of these for years. This year when I went online to order his boots I ordered these because they were this years version of the great, warm, durable boots we have always purchased. The only thing different is that this year he cannot even get his foot in the boot because of the narrow toe box. I still have his old pair and comparing the two is like apples and oranges. Why did you do this? We have moved on to other brands and are much happier because he can get his foot in and move his toes. I wanted to buy Lands End but I cannot buy products that are inferior. Winter Boots need to be made with room to move. Such a shame because I have been a loyal customer for years. Spend the money...make the toe box roomy and then I will be back. This would be a great boot but for this flaw.

I bought Snowflake boots for my daughter and these Snow Pack boots in navy for my oldest son when they first came out two years ago. Both were defective. Regarding the Snow Pack boots, after only one winter I realized that the boots were rattling....lots sand and gravel had gotten inside the outsoles. This, of course, meant that the outsoles were hollow, and sand/gravel/snow/water were all getting in. I was VERY disappointed, Land's End quality is usually so much better. I will say, though, that Land's End was very true to their guarantee and took them back, even though it had been a year, and gave me a refund, no hassles or hoops to go through. Also, this was the first year that Snow Pack boots had been in the catalog. I don't know if they have improved on this design since, but after two defective pairs of snow boots, I am wary of buying any more pairs from Land's End.

The best snow boot ever!
I love these boots. I bought them in a size 11 and a size 1. One of the neatest things about this boot is that the tongue is actually connected to the rest of the boot. So, while they are truly a tie boot (which makes them fit better and keep out more snow), they also don't have any crevices between the tongue and the rest of the boot. Anything that keeps out snow makes me happy. They are also 2 inches higher than the boots we are replacing. Will definitely buy these again!

A very successful model! I'll buy them again.
I bought these winter boots for my 3 year old son. We live in Russia, and we need warm shoes for winter. We are very pleased with these shoes: they do not get wet and very warm. My son went to them to -25 and not frozen. Valenochek can be removed and dried. A very successful model! Thank you! Their only drawback - they are a bit heavy for a small child.
But I'll buy them again.

Warm and comfortable
I bought these boots for my son. They keep his feet warm and comfortable in our northern Canadian winter weather.

I must be missing something... I purchased these boots based on ratings and price (and of course- need). When I received these boots (for my 4 yr olds son), they were very heavy. First of all- I won't argue the quality, they're very well made! Kudos to Land's End as usual on that. However, when I took the boot out of the box, I felt the weight immediately (I had a feeling these wouldn't work well for my skinny 4 yr old). I knew they would be difficult for my son to navigate any walking, running or playing in these. They are cumbersome, bulky, STIFF and HEAVY! And run a bit wide. When I put them on my son- he immediately said "no mommy- I can't walk"... His foot slid, he couldn't really bend at the toe or ankles (most important for walking). Maybe for an older child (7+ yr old), because I can't see a younger aged child trying to walk in these. My son is 4.5 yrs old, weighs about 38 lbs, but about 3' 11" tall (tall and lanky for his age), wears a size 11 in shoes/ boots... Unfortunately they're going back.

Well built boot
I printed out the shoe sizing guide, measured my son's feet and was successful in ordering the correct size. Bought these for both of my children, and they were happy with them. The boots have a nice heavier liner that is removable, but keeps it's shape in the boot. My son decided to wear them outside today even though we don't have snow yet. It is the first pair of shoes with laces that my son has had. He is seven and I just taught him how to tie the laces. It was time! The laces are long enough that he is able to tie them and it's not taking him very long to put them on. Glad I made this purchase, and feeling ready for winter!

Warm and non-slip boots
Has bought 2 steams of such boots for my sons of 4 and 9 years. In the winter at us it is constant-15-25 degrees on Celsius. Even in-30C children went in these boots only with a thin cotton sock. Sons go to them both in school and on walks in wood and to go for a drive on a sledge. The sole doesn't slide. Carry boots 2 months, quality good. The younger son isn't happy that boots with laces, he isn't able to lace up them :).

Bought these boots for me not my son!
I actually bought these boots for me and LOVE them! After looking at the womens boots, the only boot I really liked didn't have bad reviews but not the best either. While looking for boots for my son I saw these and liked them for me. After comparing sizes in womens and boys they had a pair that would fit me. So I ordered the Orange ones. They fit great, look great (I get complements on how cute they are), and keep my feet warm and dry! The orange is brighter than it looks in the picture -i think.... but I still love the color!
