Boys' Slim Fit Iron KneeŽ Jeans
My very slim 9 year old has a difficult time with jeans because they get puffy looking around the top when I adjust the adjustable waist. The slim fits perfect, and I can adjust the waist and they look great. I have yet to see a hole in the knees, and he has been wearing them all winter.

So far the Iron knee jeans are holding up
I have an avid son who loves to slide everywhere so these jeans have held up well. I'd wished I had bought the two in darker shades because the light jeans get dirty so quick but they look nice as I send him off to school.

Absolutely Fabulous Fit and Gaurantee
I have been buying LE clothing for my son and I for years now. I was VERY happy when they began making the Iron Knee pants for boys, because like most young boys, he would go through the knee (ONLY the left one!) within 2 weeks of buying them. Not only do the knees hold out on these, but they actually fit my extremely tall, thin 5'3" 85lb 10 year old. The size 14S are a perfect fit and he only needs to cinch the waist in about 2-3 holes on each side. They could be an inch or so longer as he doesn't have any more room to grow taller in the 14S. I haven't found any other pants that fit him as well as these do.
To make this buy even better, Land's End has the best guarantee in the business, which many are not fully aware of. One of the first pair of Iron Knees we bought a few years back (cadet style), he went through that left knee and Land's End shipped them back for free from Canada and sent us a new pair in the next size up, since he was growing at breakneck speed at the time. Can't beat that service or guarantee anywhere. I've only had to send the one pair back and we've been buying them ever since. The ONLY issue I ever have is that they don't seem to stock enough of these Slim Fit pants in the slim sizes for "Big Boys". I'd love to see them in more colours and in corduroys as well. How about black and a dark grey? Give them a try if your child is as slim and tall as mine is and remember that guarantee :-)

Nice alternative to "skinny jeans"
My son loves these. He is trim and a teen and wants "skinny jeans" so the fact that these are slim fitting and we can get the slim cut made them perfect. Nice finish on them too. I wish Lands' End would make a "skinny" khaki pant like these.

Best kids jeans ever
My son burns through jeans like it's his job. We previously have bought jeans at mid range retail store spending anywhere from $17 to $35 a pair. We are lucky if he makes it through a month without blowing the knees out. Last school year we went through 7 pairs of jeans all which had destroyed knees within as little as two weeks. We've had the iron knee jeans for the last four months and they are still going strong with no visible signs of wear!! He can play hard and we can rest assured that we got our moneys worth. I would recommend these jeans (and have) to every parent of a young boy. Great job Lands End!!

Great for a tall and skinny kid
I've tried to find jeans for my son at several brick-and-mortar stores and it's always the same story: either the waist fits but length is too short or the length is fine but the waist is huge. Frustrating. I appreciate that LE recognizes children come in all shapes and sizes and offers "Slim Fit". This is the first place I've found the perfect combination of waist and length that works for my son and I've come back for the last 5 years for more. In fact, I wouldn't mind having an even longer length of pant as standard so he won't outgrow them too quickly. One new innovation for us is the "Iron Knee" version of jeans where LE puts a layer of reinforcement on the inside of the knees. My dad used to use those iron-on denim patches on the inside of my jeans when I was a kid and they felt horrible, thick, and stiff as cardboard. Whatever LE uses is soft to the touch and much thinner, probably a polyester web-like material that resists tearing and adds strength. I cannot yet speak of its durability as we've only had the jeans for a month. So far, though, they seem quite robust, despite my son being quite hard on the knees of this pants. We got the Dark Rinse Indigo which does well for both playing and smart casual events. Colour fastness seems good for now though it is less of a concern as the natural fading of denim gives it that characteristic "well-loved" look.

Best Jeans Ever
My little man is very thin and tall at 7 years old. The size 8 slim fit him well thanks to the waist size adjuster, which cinched it in a little more. The knee reinforcement is great because he usually wears holes in the knees of all of his pants. We've only had them a month but usually by this time he has already worn out pant knees usually. No holes yet. Also, they look great; even better than Levi 514 slim which is what I purchased before. I'm very happy with the purchase! I think it is time to order another pair.

Tough to Work the Button/Hole
I struggle finding a classic pair of jeans that fits my daughter's waist and height. She is 4'10" and 75 pounds. Styles for girls are trendy and too tight. So, we typically go to the selections for boys. The size 12S (slim) is too tight and too short. The 12R (regular) is way too loose and requires going to the 10th adjustable waist elastic on both sides. Thankfully, there is a 14S. On many occasions, the slim sizes stop at size 12 for boys. Our main complaint is that it is tough to button these jeans. Maybe the button holes are too small.

Excellent jeans for skinny boy
My son weighs 67 lbs. and is in sixth grade so finding a 'cool' pant is necessary. These jeans fit in the slim & we even ordered the other color too.

Baught these jeans for my twin nephews. I like that they come in regular and slim. The fit is great and the waist is adjustable. I like the reinforced knees and the best is that the boys love wearing them
