Boys' Mesh Lined Track Pants
Good Buy if On Sale
This is the second pair of these pants I have purchased. They do run large. My 12 year old normally wears a large and they swallowed him. The medium fits well with a bit of room to grow. My 8 year old normally wears a medium but this medium was too big. I got him a small, and they just fit- barely. These do wash and wear very well, and when they are on sale I plan to buy another pair for each of them.

Ideal for PE days at school
My third-grader wears these on days that he has PE. They are comfortable and functional, and they also look neat for the rest of the school day. He has three pair in his rotation - red, navy and bright blue. They are best for spring and fall but could work for a northeast winter with a base layer. If I were to suggest an improvement it would be to offer these in slim sizing.

I love the look of these pants and bought two pairs. Unfortunately, the material is quite flimsy and the knees have given out in both pants after only a few wearings. One pair had a couple of holes in the knee before my son decided to roll down a hill. When he came back up, the entire knee was ripped open and cannot be worn. I have bought a lot of clothes for my son from Land's End and these pants are one of the very few things that I have been unhappy with.

Not the quality I was hoping for.
The material is thin and feels like it will rip the first time my son's knees hit the ground. The liner is nice but these are going back. For the price I can get better quality from other stores for less $. Also, I ordered the green and its a much darker green than it appeared in the catalog. I was also disappointed in the shade of green.

Holes in knees in multiple pairs - buyer beware.
I purchased multiple pairs of these pants for both of my older sons. A few months later, all three of them have holes in them. I cannot recommend these pants and will be sending them back. The material is simply too thin. I buy my fair share of "comfy pants," having three boys, and LE pants are the worst quality of all.

Quality has changed
As with all things Lands' end the quality has changed over the years and the price has increased. These pants use to have a nicer trim down the side of the legs, zippers at the bottom and a different material for the overall pants. I still like these pants but I'm not impressed at the price increase when the quality has diminished. Stop with the frequent sales and sell your clothing at appropriate prices. Don't skimp on quality. People will pay more for consistent quality.

Exactly what I expected
The pants fit and my son wears them frequently. I like the way they look and like how they look on him. I've been very happy with all of the Land's End pants I've purchased for my 5 & 7 year old boys.

We bought these for my son back in the fall, and they were too hot and sweaty for him to wear until cold winter weather set in, and he still asks me to not wear them on days he has gym or if we go run at the track at our gym. They are durable and still look good but I wanted to warn anyone who was buying them for the spring.

Excellent warm up pant
My son LOVES these pants and he will only wear warm up type pants. They are lined and fit him perfectly. He has a bigger belly so he has to wear the husky size. It is hard to find him regular size pants to fit. They are a perfect fit!! we LOVE LAND'S END husky sizes!! :)

Love these pants
They not only fit great and are a great weight
they come through a 3-year old boy's long tough play day and still look amazing.
A bonus is the green matches the long sleeve T to perfection.
