Rated 4 out of 5 by mahm1 Nice pants!
Adult special needs son is hard on clothes and is fussy about what he wears. I thought canvas pants would be rejected...he prefers cords...but he took to these fine, the fit is very good, and he looks great in them. Now our problem is getting them OFF to get laundered. Guess i'll be ordering more of these.

I bought these for my almost four year old who is a little on the slim size. I needed elastic pants so he could go potty by himself at preschool, so I ordered these in slim. Although they have an adjustable waist and elastic so I was able to get them to fit without falling down, they were definantly not slimmer than any regular pants he has. They fit VERY baggy. They technically work so I plan to keep but will not buy more of them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Cornerstone4KIDS My son has been wearing these pants for over a decade...they are the best!
The quality is what keeps me buying these pants. They have a comfortable waist that he likes and the knees last a very long time. As he has gotten older spending less time on his knees, they don't wear out at all. He is in high school now and doesn't even want to look at another style....his thoughts are "why mess with perfection?"

Rated 5 out of 5 by GrandmaM2 Wonderful pants for active boys
My grandson loves these pants, they look good on him, and the patched knees increase their durability. I have bought these pants for him each year as he has grown and recommend them highly.

These pants seemed well made, but the adjustable wasteband did not overcome the big fit for a slim kid.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Melissa330 Great pants, but very long
I really love these pants, despite the fact that they are sized weird. The material is so soft, and unlike other cargo pants we've tried, they wash up beautifully and the pockets don't curl up and need ironing. When I pictured "canvas" I imagined they would be stiff and uncomfortable, but they are so soft! Besides being soft, they appear to be extremely well made and durable, which is exactly what I need for my 3-year-old son. He has entered the "blown knees" stage and needed pull-on pants for Montessori school. We looked everywhere and I ordered three different styles from Land's End, the ripstop #fabric not quite as nice but still nice pants# and the lined pull-on beach pants #which were huge all over#. My boy at just over 3 years is 41 inches tall and about 36 pounds, with a very slim build. I bought him a 4 slim because the regular 4's we saw in the store were huge in the waist. The waist of the slims is perfect, with enough room to grow yet not falling off of him like the regulars did, but the length is super long. I would venture to say that although they are supposed to fit up to 42", they are easily 2-3 inches too long on him. I can roll them up, and he loves them, so we will keep them, but really I shouldn't have to roll them so much on a boy who is an inch away from the max height. I'm just hoping they still fit in the waist when he grows into the length. If they were a bit shorter, I'd give them a 5.

The iron knee pants are deceptively strong. The pants are comfortable, stylish, and wears really well. I love the pull on style because my boy is quite difficult to get going in the morning, so the style saves time and aggravation of trying to zip and button up. This is a winner.

Rated 3 out of 5 by AStLMom WAY TOO LONG
I ordered a 5S for my 44 1/2", 36 pound five-year-old. These pants are easily 4 inches too long. The waste was a good fit; loose enough to give him room, but not so loose I had to tighten it down and cause a lot of extra bunching. Easily 2 inches longer than the plainfront, which were also too long.

These are my sons favorite pants. I have purchased them in every size and I am sad that he is now at size 20 and you don't make them in bigger sizes. They have been worn by younger cousins after he outgrew them which is a testament to their quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MarySeattle Great pants for active, slim boys
We depend on these pants (in slim) for my slender son who rejects jeans, and have bought them for years in each size as he grows. They typically hold up till he outgrows them (unless he + dad decided to slide on their butts down a rocky hillside, over and over, one sunny day at Joshua Tree). The elastic waist w internal adjustments makes them flex with growth. I recommend them.
