Boys' Iron Knee® Pull-on Canvas Pants
Prefer these to the climbers
I was worried when I saw reviews that people preferred the older climber pants. My son has worn the climbers for years. But I thought we'd try since there is a no hassle return policy.
We got them and I love the styling. Lots of thought went into these pants - the iron knees, pull tabs by the snaps on pockets and fly, a snap not a button, reinforced stitching on the heel side of the cuff. I prefer this canvas to the old climber as it seems softer, and still seems high quality. I was worried the snap/zipper fly would open when my son was using them as a pull-up pant ... But they stayed closed. Yay!
They fit my son perfectly - although I order slightly larger than he needs to get more 'wear' time out of them. The new design allows me to sinch the waist - so it is perfect!
My son loves the comfort and style. He, like a lot of people who bought the climber pants, has fine motor issues with buttons/zippers - so these will continue to be on the must-have list for him until he grows out of the size 20!
My husband would like you to make them in men's sizes!

These are comfy, Mom!
These pants are perfect for my clothes finicky 12 year old boy. It's difficult to find husky boy sizes that are pull on. My son has sensory issues with clothes. He hates anything denim, with a tag, or buttons, or zippers, or shirts with pockets and don't get me started on the socks with fuzzies inside that hurt his feet. Ugh!. The fit and style are good, I like the look and quality of these pants. These are the perfect pants and he loves them.

Finally - no more holes in our knees!
Love these pants - they are VERY heavy-duty material - which we like.
I *so* wish Lands End would add adjustable-waists to their pants (you know - the elastic in the waistband and the buttons like many other popular brands) cause only ONE of my kids can wear these pants as he is a 'normal' weight. My other two are height-normal but their waists are teeny-tiny and therefore I can only buy adjustable-waist pants. Otherwise I'd be buying MORE Lands End pants for them, love their durability!
And no - a drawstring is NOT the same thing. :)

The only recommendation I would make is to add the adjustable waistband to the little boys pants. My eldest grandson (5) is slender and tall, and blows through the knees of his pants...so the pants are great for durability, but I had to add D rings and webbing in order to make the waist adjustable.

Great quality pants! In Slims!
My 13 year old has worn these pants FOR. YEARS. He is uncomfortable in any other style! He's always been very tall and slim; these pants have consistently been our best options. They do last a long time :-) Now, we've out grown the slim sizes!!! Lands End - PLEASE increase the range of the slim sizes to include 18 and 20...slimness doesn't stop when a size 16 is outgrown :-)

Too big in the waist
I bought these for my son who used to wear the open bottom cargo climbers (discontinued) all the time. The material is nicer than the rip stop fabric on some other pants offered. The waist runs large, which is unfortunate as my son is slim. Pockets are not as deep as those in the cargo climbers, which we miss.

You knee-d these
Occasionally, there is truth in advertising. The pants have long-lasting knees and are well made. I have bought these pants over the years, and my son grows out of them before the knees wear out. The only feature I would love to see is extra length at the hem so that there is room to grow. Regardless, I will continue to purchase the pants.

My son has worn the pull on pants since he was 5 and now he's 14. He enjoys the ease of slipping in or out of them. They are a great pant. I wish there were more colors to chose from though. But over all you won't be disappointed. Good quality and a easy wash.

Brought for grandson
Fit is right on. Love the colors and the fit. He said that the pants are comfortable.

Quality boys' pull on pants!
I purchased these pants (and the ripstop fabric ones) for my 5 year old in a 5T. They are really nice quality pants. Since my son does not yet work a zipper and button, he needs pull on pants like these. The only problem with these pants is that they do not have an adjustable waist band. My son is approximately 45 pounds, and the pants fell off of him. I took them to a seamstress who placed some smaller elastic in the waistband, and now they fit great. They have been washed at least 10 times, and still look new.
