Boys' Iron Knee® Elastic Waist Blend Chino Pants
These are great pants! My son wasn't happy with any of the other uniform pants I bought him. These didn't bother him around the waste because they're elastic and pull on/off easy! He also really loves the hook in the front and doesn't have to bother with a button.

good overall pair of pants
These pants fit well, the waist is a bit big for my son, but he can wear a belt. (He is ten and needs a twelve most of the time.) He is picky about the feel of his clothes and wishes they were a bit softer material. They came hemmed to the length I specified.

Perfect perfect perfect!!
I have twin 12 year old boys that are husky. Unfortunately, husky pants from the local stores are barely larger in the waist than the regular sizes, and we have been trying for two years to find dressier pants to fit them comfortably. These were perfect and fit the bill. The elastic waist is comfortable for the boys and the pockets don't pull. It is not obvious they have an elastic waist, and there are belt loops for when they need to wear a belt (a uniform requirement of the orchestra they are in). I was able to order the husky size and the custom length. I am sure for non-husky boys they would find these comfortable as well. I didn't have to fight with the boys to try them on or drag them to the tailors. There are no complaints and groans when I tell the boys to put on their dress pants. I will be buying more of these pants as they grow.

Washes and Wears Well
Great uniform pants. My son is hard to fit. He wears a husky. These are great, just a little more roomy in the waist but not too baggy in the seat and legs. They are comfortable, they wash well and he isn't a wrinkled mess when I pick him up at school. Upon asking him after school one day when we got home if he wanted to change into comfy clothes, he said "These ARE comfy!" I will order again as he grows.

Growing too fast!
We've been buying our grandson these pants for years and years. Buy black as required for school and other colors for dress wear, ie church. A thin boy, he loves the elastic waist. I buy unhemmed because our daughter-in-law likes to do that so she can let them down as he grows. And grow he does! Bought the largest size for this school year. What will we do next year??

Iron Knees - Just what I needed
I am a disabled woman who wears a small enough size to be able to wear these pants. I go thru the knees of pants fast, so when I found these and ordered these... they last at least twice as long as women's pants.
I disagree with the person who said they are not elastic all the way around.... they are wrong. Yes , there is a button and zipper, but the elastic is still in the front of the waistband.

The description of these pants is misleading. It says "fully elastic waist band" when in fact these pants have a button and a zipper.
The description of these pants is misleading. It says "fully elastic waist band" when in fact these pants have a button and a zipper. The button isn't even a faux button like on the regular waist band chinos that covers a hook and eye closure.

Very big in the waist
They seem great, we are getting these as uniform pants. I wish that they came in a slim though. We got these in a 7 when my son wore a 7S in the non-elastic pants here. I figured it would be fine since they are elastic. He was swimming in them! I had to go down to the 6, which I know are going to be a bit short on him. It's a shame they don't have slim sizes here. We have noticed that the actual waist sizing differs between the lands end pants, and that info isn't listed on the website info, just on the actual product tags. I'll have to watch that in the future.

These are the best school pants ever!!
I bought my son 3 pairs in the spring of 2013 when he was in 4th grade. They held up all through the 5th grade! He was actually outgrowing them while the pants were still in great condition! And he had recess every day! I couldn't believe it! I just bought the same pants in a larger size for 6th grade. And, the old ones are still good enough to donate. These are some pants!
