Boys' Hopsack Blazer
Nice fit and color.
We ordered the green for something different and my son likes the color. Fits nicely and quality is great for the sale price.

Great Boys Blazar
Purchased this blazar for my 8 year old son. He attends a Catholic Elementary. He wanted something nice for the mass his 2nd grade class was participating in. It fit perfectly. It looked great. He received many compliments. The quality is on par with what you expect from Landsend. He should be able to wear this for the next class mass. It could be something he wears for other holiday celebrations.

Quality not what it used to be for this blazer
I have bought this blazer for my son year after year and was always thrilled. This year, however, I had to return it. It was not the same blazer at all. The fabric was not as substantial and wrinkles easily. The stictching isn't the same, and the buttons looked cheap. I was so dissappointed. Perhaps the smaller sizes haven't changed, but I got a size 14-16 this year and it is definitely not the same. I had to return it.

Fits small in arms and length, fits big in waist, chest and shoulders
The quality is good, however my son who is size 12, needed to order up to a 14 because the arms and length were far too short on the 12. The 14 arrived and the shoulders and waist were so big the jacket seemed to sag off of him. My son is between a regular and a slim size 12. Thin, but not small boned.

I've been buying these for the last 3 or 4 years for my great nephews. They love them and look so dressed up in them. They like to wear them to synagogue. They're just 10 and 6 and look 'grown up'

nice coat but cut too big for slim boys
I bought this jacket for my 13year old son who is 5'9" but only 125 pounds. It's the right length but cut way too big for someone his size.

Used to be better
My son has been wearing the hop sack blazer for 10 years since he was 3 years old. This will be the last as he has out grown the size range. While still a great buy and decent quality for the price it is not as good as it used to be. It used to be a 3 button blazer with 4 buttons on the cuff, and an inside pocket. None of which is significant except the inside pocket. I hope they stop cutting corners on this jacket as it is reasonable for an item that doesn't get worn a lot.

can't beat quality and price for this wardrobe staple
have been buying this classically detailed navy blazer for active twin boys for years, and have now purchased it in almost all of the sizes. just bought a size 16 jacket for one twin who is 5'4" with a weight of 110 lbs, and a size 18 blazer for other twin who is 5'6' and weighs 112 lbs - both boys have broad shoulders (16 1/2" from shoulder to shoulder) and small waists (27"). this blazer has good proportions, and fits perfectly in length and in the shoulders, but will likely be full through the body if your boy(s) are thin like mine. enough room to add a sweater vest if desired, but the jacket will not be so full as to appear too large. this blazer is reasonably priced and really wears well; rarely have to dry clean, but instead can simply take a damp cloth to wipe away spills and debris from the jacket. well constructed, and have never had a seam split, a lining tear, or even a button fall off despite their roughhousing in the jacket after an event ! blazer also has an interior breast pocket to stash a cell phone or other treasure. if you are looking for a classic, well made blazer for an active young boy or young man, this is consistently the best that I've found.

This was perfect for my son's First Communion. It was comfortable for him to wear on a cool Spring day, looked very neat and pressed. It runs just a little bit on the large side. I was very happy with the quality and color!
