Boys' Fleece Lined Puffer Jacket
It's a very snuggy coat and it fit fine, but the zipper was horrible. The fabric behind it constantly got stuck in the zipper teeth, and it was very frustrating for our 6 year old. My husband and I both have LE winter coats, and the fabric behind our zippers is taped so that it can't get stuck. Why wouldn't you do this with a kids' coat? Also, the coat fabric in general soaks up water, so after our son played in the snow, we usually had to put it in the dryer.

Loved at first but then...
When I saw this at the store I fell in love. We had bought our son a lands ends winter coat last year and were bummed that it didn't have a hood and the neck part was short, so in order for my son to wear his coat last year, he had to have a good scarf and hat- even though he hates all of the layers. Even though last years coat still fit when we saw this one in the store we couldn't resist! It looked perfect, fleece lining, a hood, higher neck coverage. But once my son started using we saw all the many flaws in design- he hates the thumb holes on the sleeves- which made it impossible to use his gloves, he has an average sized head and the hood is too small and finally the WORST part (because i still would have kept with the other flaws) is that the zipper gets stuck constantly. It has finally made a hole in the lining and we had to return. I hope they make a better one next year...

Bought this for my son, and it was perfect for him. The coat is very good looking, and I love the cozy lining. Great quality and style.

Warm, cozy but zipper gets stuck a lot and cuffs don't work
When I bought this jacket for my 4 year old boy I loved everything about it: the color, the soft fleece lining, the fact that it was not thick and bulky... the perfect jacket!! But when he started wearing it I realized several things 1. It just did not fit right. The sleeves were too long for him (even thought the jacket size fit him perfectly) so the cuffs were a real problem as he could not fit his hands in them. 2. The zipper got stuck each and every time he used it. It was very frustrating for him. 3. When he had to wear snow gloves it was almost impossible to wear them as the cuffs where in the way. 4. It was hard to zip the jacket up to the top as it was to small for the neck area. I love lands end and it's quality but I was not lucky this time.

My son loves this jacket. It is so warm and soft. However, the zipper causes problems everyday. It comes apart near the neck once zipped and frequently catches on the material as he zips it up.

Very nice coat!
My son loves this coat because of the inside lining it's very soft!

Zipper gets stuck
Warm, soft, light-weight jacket. Washes well. Not waterproof. The zipper gets stuck all the time. The fabric behind the zipper should have been made stiffer. It bunches up and gets stuck. Very frustrating for my 6 year old.

Soaks in the snow!
This was a very cute, warm jacket. My grandson used it a few weeks and we loved it, until the snow began to fall. When he played in the snow, the jacket would soak in all the water. It was all wet. It is not water repellant at all, which is bad for snowy winter areas like here in Connecticut. If you get no snow, it is great...exchanged for a squall.

Too Hot, Runs Small and Bulky
Purchased for my lanky and very jacket picky 8 year old. He found the fit too snug leaving no room for the necessary layering underneath. He generates a good deal of heat and would wear only t-shirts underneath on very cold days, 0 or below. If the temps were 10+ (Maine winters) he wouldn't wear it as it's too bulky, esp. in the car, and way too hot causing him to sweat too much while sledding or playing in the snow. He got very little wear out of it and wasn't worth the $.

Fell apart before winter was even over- POOR QUALITY
I bought this coat for my 8 year old. The fit was nice and the soft fleece was his favorite. Unfortunately, the outer shell began ripping in several place after the first wear. He is a rough and tumble boy, so I thought this must be his fault. Granted, we have never had this problem with other puffer coats he has had in the past. A few days ago, he told me the coat would no longer zip. When I looked at it, large sections of the teeth have FALLEN OFF. How did that happen?? I was trying to just wait it out. The coat looks torn up, but at least it was functional. But now it does not zip, so I have to find him a new coat in February. I am finding this task next to impossible. I will never buy this coat again.
