Boys' Down Puffer Jacket
So far we are really happy with this jacket. A couple of reasons we like it - it's actually filled with down. Look around at most other kids retailers and their "down" jackets are synthetic, polyester, etc. The few out there that do have real down are much more expensive than this jacket...I feel this was a good deal for quality material. The fill power of the down means it keeps kids warmer without the bulk. My toddler son hates big bulky jackets so it's great that we got a jacket that keeps him as warm or warmer but without the extra fabric. Also like that the hood fits well around his face and is adjustable, and like the wrist cuffs.
The temperature rating for this jacket is -10 to 25 F....we live near D.C. and this is more than adequate for our winters. Maybe if you live in Minnesota or get tons of snow you need something more heavy duty but if you get a few snows a year and temperatures don't usually get lower than the 20s this jacket should more than meet your winter needs.
On sizing - we got this for my son a month before he turned 3. He's tall but skinny for his age and the 2T fit him well.

Great Warm Winter Jacket
I have purchased this jacket twice for my son beacuase he loves it so much, once in the winter 2013 and again in the winter 2014. We have it in Tan and Green. It is light weight due to the down and doesn't restict movement. It is also longer in the back to keep snow from getting into his pants and keep him warmer. He loves the hand warmers and wears gloves over them just fine. I will continue to purchase this afordable jacket every year if he will let me.

Love, Love, Love This Jacket!
I noticed some of the reviews said this jacket ran slim/small. My 8 year old son is 50 inches tall and weighs 79 pounds. He's not chubby, but he is a "chunk." I ordered the 8 Husky and it fits perfect! He loves it!

My second one of these--perfect for our cimate
We live in Northern California, where there's no snow, but plenty of chilly, damp fog in the mornings. My son loves this for our morning commute. Super snuggly without weight, and on days that stay cold, it's comfy enough to run around the playground in. I just wish it came in a brighter blue like last year!!

Awesome! It came just in time for SD's blizzard!
This jacket is awesome and kept my 12 year old son warm during and after the early October South Dakota blizzard. This jacket fit my tall and slimly built son perfectly. The sleeves have the slot for the thumb so that the snow does not get inside the jacket. The quality is great and the feathers stay inside the jacket.

Will buy again and again
I bought this jacket a year ago in Little Boy L for my older son who was 6 at the time. It was a bit roomy but still very wearable and he grew into it towards the end of the winter. He is going to wear it this winter as well, as there is still enough room for him. Once he grows out of it, i will definitely replace with a similar product. We live in Toronto, and the jacket is warm enough for our winter, just add a layer underneath on particularly cold days. My son loves the built in hand warmers. I actually bought another one in Mushroom color for my 5 year old in Little Boy M, and it fits him well, with room to spare. And because it was on sale, I only paid $32 for it! Love Lands End for both quality and occasional great deal! I paid full or near full price for the first jacket, and still think it was good value, so the second one felt like I got it for free. :)
Both of my boys are average height for their age.

Love this Jacket!
I bought this for my picky 8 year old son and he is so pleased! He loves the built-in hand warmers. Would definitely purchase again. Great for our cold winters.

Runs alitle small
Lands End has been my go to place for warm jackets for myself and both my children. I was super excited to see this coat at a fraction of its original price. I bought the size 8(s) for my 6yr old who normally wears a size 7 in clothing, when I got it in the mail today and tried it on him it was very small. The sleeves were fine but it fit too snug for what I like. I like it to be nice a roomy incase he needs to layer! I ordered a bigger size and hope that it fits more roomy!!! Otherwise a really nice coat!

Great Jacket Year After Year
We have purchased this jacket for our son for years. We live in Indiana and it has always been adequately warm. The jacket is very lightweight which is great for wearing with a backpack and stuffing into a cubbie at school. He loves the SnowGuard wrist cuffs on the sleeves and made a point of checking his jacket for the year to make sure it had them. He is tall and thin and we have always found the size to be true. The jacket also washes well.
In the past this jacket has had a large elastic pocket on the inside under the small velcro pocket. I was disappointed to see the pocket missing this year. It was a great pocket for storing hats and mittens, especially large mittens. With that pocket we had no missing hats or mittens the entire year. Hopefully it will be back next year. It was such a quick and easy place to securely store a hat and mittens.

Well, first off I buy Land's End often and recommend them to all of my family and friends.
I love the look of the jacket and that it is warm. I was hoping that my son could use it for playing in the snow. Well that was not a good idea. He was wet through the jacket after 1 hour of playing. It was disappointing to me.
