Men's Braid Dress Belt
This belt stinks.
My husband could not wear this belt because it smelled so bad. We tried airing it out for months- it never got better.

I got this belt for my husband to replace an old one -from another brand- that was getting too old. This one looks very nice and seems sturdy. It's a casual belt for the weekends, to use with chinos.
Quality seems good.

NOT AS ADVERTISED -- bonded leather is not full-grain leather
Lands End advertises the belt as "Hand-crafted, full-grain leather." The belt, however, is bonded leather, which is an inexpensive and inferior leather-substitute found in cheap belts. Bonded leather is to full-grain leather as particleboard is to wood. I'm seriously disappointed and will think twice before ordering from Lands' End in the future.

Durable, great quality
I have been wearing this belt every day for two years. It is of far higher quality than other braid belts in my closet. I came back to get another one and was astonished to see people complain about the quality. This is by far the best braid belt I have ever owned.

Lands End strikes again
My criticism of the belt is not so much the belt as Lands End. I bought this belt about two years ago and wear it almost everyday It was beginning to show some wear so I decided to buy another.
It has gotten to the point that I don't know what size to buy from LE anymore. I bought the exact same size and when it arrived it is several inches shorter than the previous belt. This same thing has happened with jeans and shirts. I wish they would publish that if you bought this item from us a few years ago you need to buy a larger sze now. LE has no consistency on sizing and it is making me nuts.
As for the belt itself. It is not a bad belt if you can figure out what size to buy but if you reorder the sizing will have changed..

Not all leather
Very disappointed with this belt. I actually ordered two in different colors and both were composed of "bonded leather" versus being all full grain leather. I have had bonded leather belts in the past and they end up over time looking really bad and breaking.
Will not order belts again from LE after this experience.
Also, unless you have a Sears store close to you it will cost you $$ to send the items back.
Not the same LE experience of 20-30 years ago.

Durable, practical, classy
I've owned probably five of these belts over the past twenty years, and they are the perfect belt, in my judgment. The belt looks good, and it lasts through daily wearings. This is the only braided belt that doesn't pull out of shape over time. The braiding is done in such a way that the belt offers practically infinite sizing. I'll definitely keep wearing this model.

Excellent quality braid belt
I found this black braid belt to be very nice. It was finished nicely on the front and the back. The length was as advertised (and it will probably lengthen a bit as it is worn). I had no problem with finding the holes in the belt (a complaint I had read in some reviews). For my taste, this belt looks great and fits great, and I expect to have it for a long time.

The only problem with the belts is that they have a very strong leather odor.
I purchased both a brown and black leather braided belt. They fit and look fine. The only problem with the belts is that they have a very strong leather smell that does not seem to be going away as fast as I would like.

looks great, poor quality
Braid is very tight and material is not flexible. I travel and many times will pack slacks with belt installed. Unfortunately the bend radius can not be sharp and if it is, the leather (?) is so brittle it causes the braids to crack. You can not tightly fold this belt. Second cause of failure as noted by other customers, if you nick the material while forcing the clasp through the tightly braided material the material will quickly break. I strongly caution others interested in buying this to not do so.
