not worth the price
fabric looks cheap. fabric is very, very heavy--like the old olive green army blankets.
styling is OK.

This is a miss! The styling does not quite work. The fabric is also not working with the style.
This could have been a fantastic coat! The fabric does not drape well. The coat is not balanced: the front is too heavy and thick, the back should have been lined to match the front. The front would be very warm and your back would be freezing! This one had to go back. Too bad.

You can size down in this. I am plus size and was able to get a large. I've received multiple compliments with the parka.

Awesome idea, to much fabric
I love the shape of this coat and wanted to like it so badly! I purchased it in the store but after trying it on several more times am returning it. They must have the fabric pulled together in the back of the model pictures because when the coat is tied shut it fits nothing like these photos. There is a lot more fabric in the front then they make it seem. Love the color, love the fabric, love the style but there is just to much bulk to it. It does look like a bath robe. On another note though, if you are in women's sizes or pregnant, this may be an awesome coat with a great fit.

Love it!!
I'm a "Plus Size" woman and the XL is plenty big enough even with a sweater. Very roomy through the shoulder area. I personally do not use the belt. The only thing I would recommend is, should they bring this item back next year, is to "line the inside". The seams are finished extremely well, but lining it always nicer.

Bulky, poorly designed
I was expecting a sophisticated transitional layering piece for fall, and was disappointed with the bulky cut of this coat. I am 5'8" tall, so I ordered a Medium to ensure the sleeve length would be long enough and to have room to wear a light sweater underneath; however, a size Small might have been less bulky to tie with the belt, since most of the material layers in the front. I agree with many of the comments from the other reviewers: fits like a bathrobe, the color is too light, and was expecting the coat to be fully lined.
The material is nice, but does not have a "cashmere-like softness," it just feels like wool, as expected since it is made of 70% wool. I tried adding a light scarf for additional color, but this only added to the bulkiness near the neck. Also, when I first tried the coat on, the belt was looped on the outside of the coat; I had to look at the model again to figure out that the belt should be UNDER the back of the coat and threaded through the small loop holes. This did help define my waist better.
On a positive note, this coat is warm, and easy to throw on for a walk with the dogs, or a casual outing. The fit is simply not flattering. So, I probably won't return it, but I do not feel that it is a good value for the price. I would love to see this coat re-designed a little and offered in a couple more colors.

An unlined coat with an awkward, bulky fit
This coat is not lined, which I find unacceptable, especially given the price. I found it difficult to place the belt properly and to try and make the folds and different lengths of material lay smoothly. It appeared very bulky and ill-fitting instead of elegant as it does in the online picture.

Fits and looks like a bath robe
Like the first reviewer, I was looking forward to wearing this coat during the transition of fall to winter. But sadly, when I tried it on, it looked as though I was wearing a stylish bath robe. The collar folds are too bulky and the color is too light. If the color were darker, I don't think the bulky fit would have been as prominent. Sorry LL, but I will be returning this item to my local Sears store.

Absolutely perfect statement piece
I just received my coat and tried it on where there were a lot of mirrors...the hair salon! It was gorgeous. The many angles of the coat draped beautifully. All in all, it was smooth and striking. I am tall and maybe that's why I love the way it looks on me. All of the salon women loved it and a couple of them even asked where I'd found such a great purchase. I intend to wear it with skinny jeans, red booties, and a bright red purse that I just bought. Being grey, it will go with so many things! All it needs for fun is a pop of color and you're dressed.
