Great look when it behaves
I bought this because of upcoming hand surgery which was going to mean a cast for 6 weeks and a splint for 4 more where I needed the sleeve room. I decided I was going to do my recovery in style! While I love the look of the coat, it is definitely more spring/fall weight-not very warm. Also, as mentioned by another reviewer, the buttons on the sleeves unbutton almost immediately, which is a real shame. The belt is loose inside which is hard to manage once the belt is untied (especially with a cast on one hand) so it didn't work as well as I'd hoped. Once it is put on, it looks great, but the process because of the design is harder than it should be. My husband keeps telling me to return it because I complain so much while putting it on.

Beautiful but BIG!
This coat looked awesome on the website and hanger but when I put it on, the Small was too big! I was drowning in it! I am a petite framed person and this was too bulky in every way for me! Had to send it back!

Chic looking, but...
The cape is chic looking as mentioned in other reviews, but then it goes off into left field. The fabric is weird, not horrible but a weird blend. It still looks elegant, but I am constantly fussing to adjust the coat. The belt does not stay in the belt slits and is constantly sliding out down around my rear end from the inside back of the coat. A design flaw. It would have taken a bit more time to design a better way, but if it pushed up the cost it would have been so worth it. The buttons on both sides that make the cape in to something of a sleeved coat do not stay fastened, too loose. Again a design flaw. Two simple design changes that would enhance the functionality of the coat. If I decide to keep it, it will only be because it is cute. It is not fun or easy to wear.

Beautiful shape without a lot of weight!
Overall, this is a fantastic deal! The cut of the cape is beautiful and it lays elegantly with or without the belt. I love popping the collar for an extra element of drama! The only surprising aspect about this garment is the fact that the wool does feel a little less substantial than what you would expect from the picture. I've owned many wool coats and was surprised at how nubby it looked when I took it out of the box. I can see why others might consider the fabric to look cheap, but I am so happy with my purchase overall that I can overlook that fact. I ordered a small/medium for my 5'10, 165 lb frame. I was afraid that my bust (34 DD) would require that I go up a size, but the single breast cut is so flattering. There is still plenty of room to layer a thick sweater or blazer underneath. This is the perfect garment if you are looking for something classic and unique!

beautiful cape!
I love this! looks great on. Fits me a little big because it is a small-medium but i guess you do want it to be able to go over clothes. i love that it buttons and does not just go over your head. made very well! would recommend purchasing this, it is great for many occasions. looks very chic and sophisticated! I have received plenty of compliments already

Excellent buy at the sale price
I'm very pleased with the cape. The wool drapes nicely and the hand is soft, so I don't think the comparisons to cheap carpet are fair. I am 5'7" and 160 pounds, and the S/M fits me well, is maybe even a bit roomy. Even though it is listed as a "small," this size would likely be too voluminous on a shorter or thinner woman. As it is, it is flattering and different enough to be eye-catching, even in camel. It is much sharper looking in person than in the picture. There have been many days I've stared into my coat closet looking for a jacket I didn't own: something that was mid-weight, versatile color, could be dressed up or down. I think this might be that jacket.

Love it!
I love this cape. It is a bit lighter than the picture shows, and has lots of material, so its not that flattering on me, as I am short, BUT, it is fully lined, very comfortable, super stylish, and the pockets are great! So far it seems very warm too. I wish the button holes would be a bit tighter, as they do tend to open on their own.
